My Xbox 360 finaly broke on me... The disc drive no longer reads discs, but I can't get it fixed right now because I've had it for over a year and that type of breaks are not covered by microsofts new 3 year warrenty... although its because microsoft down graded there disc drive to a smaller one so they could have a better heat sink... But, the disc drive they put in was prone to have something inside of it melt which would inturn leave your system un able to read discs...

I'm currently working on giving it Red Rings of death and I have tried several different things with it... At first I thought that I could just put a towel around it and that would break it, but after several attempts and that it turned out that was not the best way to do it... My second way was to cover it in a layer of Plastic rap and then throw some tin foil onto of that... it seemed to freeze it fast enough, but once again did not finish the job... then I started putting it in a plasic container and leaving a blanket over it... This made everything extremely hot (including the plasic container because I burnt my self on it while reacting in to turn the system back on after it froze...

Now my Final attemp is to put it into a plasic container with no blanket on it and leave it on for a really long time... This seems to be the best plan of action because all the other ways would get hot, but they would not have enough continuos heat on the system... Leaving it on will hopefully leave enough stress on the xbox for a long enough time to finaly do it in... either way I will not pay the $100 to fix my Xbox when it was in turn linked to the Whole Red Ring of death thing... if it was a problem that was not at all related to the RRoD I would feel guilty about trying to steal from microsoft, but sense they screwed gamers over because they did not take there pre launch problems seriously enough I have no problem screwing M$ over...

P.S if you want to know once I do finaly break my Xbox 360 and get it fixed for free I'm going to trade it in to my local game store and use the money that I get from it and my Games (Halo 3, Call of Duty 4) to buy LittleBigPlanet and Resistance... If there is any left over money I will also buy a new Dual Shock 3 controller and Socom Confrontation...
