Interview Chronicle
Wednesday, Jun 24, 2009

Well, I'm Off to get a Sombrero! I'm here to tell you guys that I will be going to Mexico for my hols tomorrow. I will be gone for two weeks. First one to mention swine flu will have to answer to Mr Shot Gun :pumps shotgun:.

Anyways as with any holiday you must pack a few handheld games in you bag. It's like an unwritten law or something . And this year I feel I'm well catered for…

Rock Band: Unplugged

Because two weeks without Rock Band is just too long . I've played a bit of this game so far and I'm enjoying it. To be fair though it would be hard for me not to enjoy it. Amplitude with Rock Band = win!

Pokemon Platinum

You know, every time one of these 'Directors Cut' Pokemon games come out I'm always say I'm not going to buy it…and every time I lie to myself. Still Pearl/Diamond was my favourite game of 2007, so I guess playing it again with a few improvements won't hurt me

Art Style: PiCOPiCT

A DSi puzzle game I recently downloaded. It's really addictive and really hard! I would tell you more but the game is kind hard to explain. It involves building Nintendo characters from pixels…if I go into it any deep my brain may start to hurt

Final Fantasy VII

What can I say about this one eh? I've got this game on disc but I've never finished it…perhaps it's 'time?'

Who has time for sunbathing when I've got all these

I hope you all have a great summer! Remember, don't neglect all those games you've got! PJ

Louis-D in short: Huge fan of binoculars, does not find Resident Evil scary anymore, is getting very tired of marriage proposals

What is you're all time favourite console and why?

It's a tie between the Playstation 2 and Xbox 360, but I'd have to go with the 360. It has a great library of games and I've enjoyed playing with friends on Xbox Live. Sure it has the RROD and annoying people online, but that doesn't matter...does it? (PJ: If your 360 has the RROD I think it would matter )

What would be your perfect setting for a game?

A setting in space is always good. I'd like a game that allows you to land on different planets and experience a variety of environments (similar to Mass Effect or Star Wars).

Which is better? Cats or Dogs?

I prefer Dogs. They're better companions and generally more loyal. But I also like cats because they're the animal equivalent of Solid Snake.

Realistic games or non-realistic games?

Non-realistic games are better. At least then you can have fun and enjoy playing. I'm not sure if I've played a realistic game, but I suppose Rainbow Six: Vegas on 'Realistic' difficulty was realistic. I feel like I've repeated the word realistic too much... (PJ: Well, at least your being 'Realistic' about it! ...I'll hit myself now )

You have just been told by a giant talking head that you are destined to save the world. What is your first reaction?

My first reaction would probably be "WTF?" because it's not everyday you see a talking head. I'd then wonder why I have been chosen and I'd convince the head that he has made a mistake. It also seems quite a hefty task, so I couldn't be bothered. (PJ: I wouldn't annoy the guy, being head butted by a giant head is not pleasant )

What is the most frustrating game you have played and why?

Probably 'X-Men: The Official Game'. I borrowed it from a friend to gain some achievements, and the experience was painful. Some areas of the game are OK, but for the most part it was just frustrating and boring (especially on the harder difficulty). My opinion on Iceman has been scarred because of this game.

How can I tempt you to the dark side?

You can't tempt me. I'm always the good guy. But if you have cookies or muffins...then maybe I'd be tempted...they would have to taste perfect, though (PJ: Crap! Why did I bake cake! )

If you could have a cameo in any game, what would be?

That's a tough question. I'd like a cameo in the next Elder Scrolls game such as a random NPC or city guard throwing in a few one-liners here and there "Good day, Citizen!".

And the all important question...what is your favourite type of chocolate?

Milk Chocolate is defiantly my favourite. I like most Cadburys products, Galaxy, Ferrero Rocher and Thortons! (PJ: Finally! Somebody with good chocolate taste! )

Thanks again Louis! As always if any of you are interested in being interviewed PM me or say so in the comments box.

Next time! That it for this batch! I'll be sending out some more after I'm done with my holiday

Elraptor in short: Goes to law school, like people to feel welcome if they don't know why there here, currently the leader of the borg

What is you're all time favourite console and why?

The Ps1 is my all-time favourite. It was the first console that I bought for myself, and I spent untold hours playing Medal of Honour and NFL Blitz.

What would be your perfect setting for a game?

Transplant Mordor into a futuristic sci-fi world, and you would have my vision of a perfect game setting. (PJ: Complete with Robo Salron! )

Which is better? Cats or Dogs?

Dogs. Most dogs are good-natured. Cats are quirky at best, psychotic at worst.

Are their any game characters you think are overrated?

Snake from MGS. Sorry, Metal Gear fans. Snake is cool and all. In fact, the first Ps1 game I bought was MGS. I still have to say he's overrated. A gruff voice, a nicotine addiction, and some unpolished stealth skills shouldn't qualify you as a video-game superstar. (PJ: You forget the fact he has a predictable technique of hiding in a cardboard box. )

You have just been told by a giant talking head that you are destined to save the world. What is your first reaction?

I would immediately offer to negotiate an hourly fee schedule or contingent fee percentage for my work.

What is the most frustrating game you have played and why?

My answer would have to be FFX. It shouldn't be. That game was mainly fun. I just could not, for the life of me, get a grasp on blitzball, the levelling system, or basic battle tactics. (PJ: ...so...you could get the entire game? )

Reality shows...yay or nay?

*barf* (PJ: Your going to clean my shoe right? And is anyone else having River City Ransom flashbacks?)

If you could have a cameo in any game, what would be?

My favourite video game character is Darth Revan, from Knights of the Old Republic. I think it would be awesome to have a cameo as an Old Republic trooper or Jedi from that era, but the very best sort cameo would let me play a clan-age Mandalorian. For Mandalore! (PJ: you realize nameless grunt die pretty fast right?)

And the all important question...what is your favourite type of chocolate?

I'm not much of a chocolate connoisseur, but generally caramel is good. Dark chocolate, not so much.

Thanks again El! As always if any of you are interested in being interviewed PM me or say so in the comments box.

Next time! Louis-D finally gives me the chocolate answer I want to hear!

Some people just don't have opinions. Like PJ24.
PJ24 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could PJ24 possibly have for not rating a single film?
