Since Obama has bought air time at 8/7 Central on CBS and NBC, and since FOX may be airing either Obama's 30-minute campaign ad or the World Series (which is expected to have its lowest ratings ever), that leaves us with nothing on during that time period... except for "Pushing Daisies." ![]()
Finally, a chance to expose people to this wonderful, quirky, critically-acclaimed, ratings-starved masterpiece of a show. Pie maker Ned can bring back the dead with one touch, Second touch, dead forever. If one is revived for longer than a minute, someone or something else must die in one's place. Emerson Codd hires Ned to bring back murder victims to find out whodunit. Ned's childhood crush, Charlotte "Chuck" Charles, is killed on a cruise ship. He brings her back to life and keeps her. Chuck makes Olive, Ned's co-worker at the Pie Hole, jealous. Chuck's aunts frequently visit the Pie Hole, having no idea that Chuck was brought back to life (Such a revelation would be shocking to them).
This time around, David Arquette guest stars as an antisocial man who is suspected of killing an escort, so Chuck and Ned go undercover as Frescorts.
The show airs TONIGHT @ 8/7 Central (check local listings) on ABC.
