Tonight marks the second-to-last episode of the beloved, brilliant but canceled Pushing Daisies, 10pm/9 CT on ABC. Tonight's episode is entitled "Water & Power," and it marks the third appearances of Simone and David Arquette's Randy Mann.

Then Next Saturday, make sure you sit your butt down and watch the FINAL EPISODE EVER -- "Kerplunk", same Bat time, same Bat channel.

The show is critically acclaimed and award-winning, especially three Emmys. It's brilliant and original. Why is nobody watching this masterpiece of a show? It baffles me! This could very well be the greatest show on television in the past however many years; I wouldn't say ever just yet, but this show is so damn good.

Where will you be tonight on TV?

If you weren't already watching Pushing Daisies Wednesday nights at 8/7 Central on ABC, then it's time to get off your lazy duff and do so ASAP. The ratings are piss-poor as of late, and if enough people watch the show, something big might happen:

1. ABC uncancels the show; orders the back nine; orders a third season
2. Another network picks the show up (NBC, USA, FX, Spike, Chiller, TBS, Comedy Central, Bravo, AMC, A&E, -- heck, even Lifetime if you must)
3. Season 1 DVD sales boom
4. ABC.com gets tons and tons of traffic from online viewings of PD; people click on the ads, which brings in ad revenue for ABC
5. The petition gets a trillion more signatures on top of the trillion who have already signed

There are tons and tons of campaigns going around,. literally thousands, all to save Pushing Daisies. But one of the biggest ways to save the show is TO WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do I need to put any more emphasis on that? No? Good.

This week's episode guest stars Orlando Jones, and the return of Stephen Root as deceased Dwight Dixon. Even Ned's Father will show up!

According to E!'s Kristin Dos Santos, Pushing Daisies has indeed NOT been cancelled!!

The cast and crew, including creator-writer-exec. producer Bryan Fuller, have not heard of the show's fate as of yet. But the 13th episode, which begins filming today, has been modified from a two-parter to a one parter to "cover all the bases."

ABC has yet to make a decision about the fate of Ned the piemaker and company. The network reportedly wants to see how the show performs after tomorrow's Presidential election.

The show's ratings went up to 6.64 million viewers! This may have been because of the Barack Obama Variety Half-Hour . It could have been because of mass promotion. It could have been because of word-of-mouth. It could have been because of Daeg Faerch's small role as Ingmar Todd. Or perhaps it was the appearance of Stephen Root. Or maybe Charlotte (Chuck)'s comments about "P*** jitters." Whatever the reason, consider this a good sign, for now.

Kristin has also posted a call to action. In it, she gives some suggestions for saving this brilliant show:

1. Sign the petition, which currently has 24,731 total signatures and counting! Let your voice be heard!

2. Watch it! Watch it Wednesday nights @ 8/7 Central on ABC. Right now, however, the show is off for two weeks (for DWTS and the CMAs, respectively), so it will be back November 19!!! Let's make it a November 19 for the history books! Until then, you can get your PD fix by renting or buying the first season on DVD, if you don't already have it, and get to know the characters and the show. Then, watch Season 2 episodes online at abc.com, even if you've already seen the episode before. ABC tracks online viewership, and the network gets ad revenue from online viewings. The more you watch, the more motivated ABC wil be to keep the show.

3. Contact ABC! Contact them online or by snail mail. The address is:

ABC, Inc.
500 S. Buena Vista St.
Burbank, CA 91521-4551

Today is also the start of a MASSIVE mail-in, in which fans will send letters, pies (real or paper), daisies (real or paper), daisy seeds, postcards, etc. to ABC. AT LEAST ONE PER DAY should do the trick, but a lot of people are sending in three per day. Emailing ABC is also part of the plan. Tell the network (positively) how much you love the show and kindly ask them to renew the show, order the back nine episodes, order a third season, etc. Just let your voice be heard. Even if your letter or whatever is not read, label it as Daisy Mail, and ABC will know it's related to Pushing Daisies.

4. Tell everybody about this show -- friends, enemies, co-workers, complete strangers, your mail carrier, your teachers, your professors, heck even your priest... whoever you can get to watch the show is good enough. Plug the show in your TV.com signatures and on any other forum or site you belong to. Digg this page. Digg any page mentioning PD. Eventually, word of mouth will spread to a Nielsen family and they will likely tune in and give the show the boost it has needed since episode 2.01 on Oct. 1, 2008.

5. Pray. This is a good idea. Be optimistic about the show's fate, but pray about it, too.

That should about do it. I hope everybody takes notice and the show can be back in black!
