I've got a lot of good games that I've bought or received as gifts and never gotten round to playing them properly. I bought Final Fantasy V Advance a couple of years ago, and a few weeks ago I thought I'd re-start and have a go. Completed it yesterday (taking my FF completion to two: V and IX), very enjoyable. Review here if you're interested. With university starting again in two weeks, it's almost definitely the last RPG I'll get into until XIII hits 360.

FFV is a great game though i played it on the EU PS1 anthology. *recommended*

I completed around 7 Final Fantasy games (V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XII) at the moment, and how did you manage to give an 8.4 with the increment of the review still being at 0.5?

@Azel - Thanks. I actually first played it on the anthology as well, though I only made it to the ruins where you first get the airship in the first world.

I find it's easiest for me to play old-school RPGs in portable form. I always lay in bed for a bit and play before going to sleep. It makes it seem like less of a grind.

FFV is a fantastic game, I loved the GBA version. Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

I have a massive backlog.. I don't even want to think about it. I just finished Chrono Trigger for the first time recently.. and I'm nearing the end of Secret of Mana now (originals of course). So that's how far back it goes.. and further if you want to nitpick. I feel your pain.

I've only completed VII and IX although I got really near the end of X.

I'm very close to the end of FF X but somehow I don't find the time to finish it. I would like to finish XII before XIII will be released but if that's going to happen, that's another story.

@DrFish - Agreed, having some TV on the background helps diminish the potential tedium.
@JPL - Not heard of that site, but its a cool idea. Building a similar feature into the collection lists here would be a good idea.
@Darro/tinoshke - I've got near the end of X as well. In fact, I've got right to the ends of VII, VIII and X without beating them!
