Confirmation that I passed year two of university arrived today, so the final year of education looms on the horizon. Unfortunately, don't have my module marks back yet; they're making us wait. In gaming news, I bought Tales of Vesperia a few days ago figuring its been a while since I slogged through a JRPG (last one was the marvellous Lost Odyssey). Didn't realise quite how similar it would be to Tales of Symphonia, but that was a favorite of mine on the GameCube (and a rare RPG that I actually finished). Very much enjoying, don't think I'll be picking up another until FFXIII rolls around. And while this sunny weather is nice, the heat-wave here is making sleep very difficult!
£56 million + £80 million = silly money. Not that I'm particularly surprised given the transfer trends in football over the last couple of years, but it does make you think when these ridiculous deals actually go through (or are on the verge).
Been a while since I've blogged here, hope everyone's doing well. As of yesterday my exams finished and it's now a free summer to relax in! Can't believe I've done two years already, it's flown by (if you're curious about the blog title, 2/3 was invalid because it has to be at least five characters). Been revising mostly and playing and practising on my guitar, but I'm hoping I can get into a few games over the summer.
I bought the Broken Steel expansion for Fallout 3 (along with Anchorage) a few weeks ago, which I thought was fairly good value for 800 MS Points - although at this point, my character can pretty much walk through any enemy without much hassle (time to notch the difficulty up I think). Nice to actually have an expansion that is game altering in that the level cap is boosted and the storyline gets extended. Barring The Shivering Isles for Oblivion, this is probably my favorite expansion. Also picked up Peggle for the Arcade a few months back (fantastic game, pretty much all you could want from a... well, it's not quite a puzzler, but whatever you want to class it as), in addition to Dishwasher, which is a great game and a fantastic achievement from the guy who made it with XNA, but its just a little bit difficult ![]()
Looking to pick up Punch Out for the Wii sometime, and I'll probably drop some cash to buy the new Virtua Tennis game when that comes out. Very much out of the loop around here so I don't know what's going on too much (I'll have to run by some blogs), but to all those who had school or uni exams, hope they went well (or are going well if they're still going on). Have a good summer all.
