What up internet. I'm back yet again, its been awhile hasn't it? Got my last final today and then i will be free as a bird to waste all my time on the internets. Although i havne't been as active onmy blogs i ahven't stopped playing all the awesomness out there in video game land. So what has been going on? Well my show at the Whiskey went down and although happy about it we had some fair problems. On the second song I snapped a string and it threew me off really bad. Not only did i not get to play my one solo but i kept making mistakes on stage, nothing too major but enough where you knew i missed a line or two. Good thing we brought backup guitars. However, the last 3 songs we finished strong and actually got a really good crowd respone that the two bands before us didn't get, so that's exciting. The new guitar amp is pretty awesome. The thing is way louder then i could ever need and is a monster. Does a great job of provider the bottom end heavy rhythym for my classic rock band and plenty of gain to chug out some damn good metal, gg my friends gg. This summer I turn 21 and ill be adding a 4th guitar to my collection. I am phasing out the old blue ESP (the one that breaks strings alot, and failed on me at the show) and im trying to decide which of the two guitars i want. Its either the crazy badass design with pickups ill need to replace, or a slightly cheaper but still awesome finish. Hard choice.

Ok enough with the guitar crap what about the games?

Well as I have metnioned on some comments here and there I have kind of been on a retro binge. been playing through FF7 and I'm jsut about to beat the first disc. Goofed around with Dues Ex and Hexen 2 a bit but not really planning on finishing them. As well has playing some pokemon Platinum when im on the go. Speaking of ont he go the book i mentioned int he last post im reading called "House of Leaves" is amazing! Go look it up and then immediatly purchase it. It's one of those things I can't say mucha bhout becuase i will simply ruin it for you. GET OFF THE DARN VIDJA GAMES AND GET OUT A BOOK EVEYR ONCE IN AWHILE!

As for current stuff well first I got into the Huxley beta which i have been watching for about 4 years now so that is exciting. (On that site I'm known as Berserker, my other online handle and actually more commonly used in game. Sadly its usually taken so Orlandun is my backup) I also nabbed a key for Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta which is BADASS! Anyone who managed to nab a key hit me up, my PSN name is also Orlandun, shootme a msg.

So what have I been playing that isn't jsut another beta? Well, yesterday i picke dup Red Faction 2 and I do not regret my decisions. The demo nabbed my interest and in a moment of weakness I plopped down 60bucks for the game (as well as Nigthwish's "End of An Era" album and System Of A Down "Steal This Album" both great cd's and STA being my fav System album i never actually owned >.>) Thats right, I BUY my CD's, what of it. My brother in Law described it as GTA: Civil Disobediance, which sums it up pretty well. If you like those kind of games as well has breaking apart buildings piece by piece with a giant hammer then this is the game for you! Recently I also purchased Company of Heroes with the first expansion for 30 bucks from best buy for the PC and that is a fantastic strategy game, I reccomend it.

this blog isn't the most exciting thing i have ever posted but i figured i should catch up on lost time. I'm sure i lost a reader or two but its not like i had tons to begin with

Oh yes, one last thing.

Through a family friend my band has been in the studio recoridng three songs. We should be done this friday then we jsut have to get the final mix done. Once all thats done ill post a link. I could post a link to our demos but they sound like ass and I rather have your first impression of the band be a much better one. Also we have a dvd of the whiskey show, if you guys want it ill try and post thevids on youtube or something. I belive our drummer is working on ripping the whole thing.
