Darren carfully made his way up the stairs. he was sligthly sore from the performance he did a few hours earlier out his his friend ryans garage. He hoped he didn't wear out his throat to much for the big even was hapenning the next day. Today was just a test run, tomorrow... They play The Whiskey A-Go-Go in Hollywood. he entered hsi room and flipped a switch to his right, the fan ont he ceiling whirred to life. he stumbled across his floor dodging effects pedals and random video game controllers. Stubbing his toe on a guitar case that seemed to have fallen out of his. He finally plopped down in his large computer chair and turned on his computer. the screen came to life and illuminated the room. After letting ti warm up he did his usual routine, checked his email, browsed the Huxley Evolved Forums, and checked out the most recent gaming news.

Finally he came upon gamespot. He checked for any new blogs and noticed a few he hadn't commented yet. He realized how long it had been since he made a blog. Having been writing nonstop papers and projects combined with a hectic practice schedule and long hours at work, Darren simply hasn't had time to post anything substantial. At the thought of practice he turned to look at his new amp head. The light from the computer screen reflected off his shiny new B 52 AT-100 amplifier. The thing awas a steal at new brand new condition for three hundred and fity bucks from an old guitar teacher who just needed to get rid of extra gear. Tomorrow he would take it to the stage for his first real show. His hands were shaking at the thought and he could feel that knot in his stomach begin to form again, the same one that had been haunting him for weeks. Hopefully his oldschool rock oriented band won't get lost in the vast array of hardcore and thrash metal bands playing the same night.

But right now he had a blog to write. maybe afterwards he would continue reading House of Leaves, maybe play some Killzone 2.... pokemon would be good too....

Hazelnutman thinks carefully before commenting.

He had never known Orlandun was a guitarist, and was especially unaware that he was in a band.

He eventually decides to bid Orlandun good luck. Speaking of bands, hazelnutman is to have his first band practice tomorrow. He is the bassist and vocalist. He ponders on what kinds of crap he has to wade through before he can secure an actual gig. Practice is what comes to mind first and foremost.

And with that, he puts on his sunglasses and speedo - headed to the beech to hit on girls he made out of sand.

Tombo tries to be hip and happening by writing about himself in the third person too. Tombo feels foolish... Calling himself Tombo does not help.
Tombo is starting to get depressed.

Tombo will power on though, for it is, as Tombo often says, "What he does". They don't call him "Power on Tom" just because he usually turns the power on for appliances he uses daily. They also call him "Power on Tom" because he Powers on through things that seem weird, awkward or hard at first. Sometimes Tombo feels a little sad that people only recognize him for his skills of powering on. It is not like Powering on is the only thing Tombo does. Tombo likes to feel like he has other abilities and personality traits besides powering on. Tombo feels objectified by his one ability.

But Tombo is being sensitive, he should be happy people recognize his powering on talents. There are, afterall, people that are never known for any skills. Tombo feels better.

Tombo would also like to wish Darren Great Amounts Of Luck. Tombo also hopes you tape, or taped. The show so Tombo can see or hear it.

Tombo also wishes Hazelnut lots of fun with his beach girl. Tombo is jealous.

@ Hazelnutman : Ya, I play in a classic rock style band playing and singing. The show last night went very well. We got more cheering then anyone else that we saw play last night (2 dudes before us and one group after, we left by that point) as for gig getting? For this we had to sell a certain amount of tickets. it is basically how Hollywood works at this point. You sell the tickets and then most bands sell demos and t shirts, which we didn't have yet. We practiced about a year before ever doing a show, not really done on purpose but that is how it goes. Local gigs around here in my hometown are usually more about who you know and how good you are. good luck with your beach girls.

@Tombo - your attempt has been a failure and your powering on skills SUCK!
