I moved a week ago today. a few days ago we were able to get things situated in our new house to a point where there was enough pieces of our computer accounted for to put it together and have a go at the interwebs. i had high hopes that in our new place all your previous issues with our connection would vanish. alas, sadly it seems that the problems we were having had nothing to do with our connection and more to do with the computer we connected with. why cant things just work? its so stupid that people toil and exhaust so much over what turns out to be a relatively unremarkable result from what we do on computers. even so why do people pride themselves as clever when they devise ways to ruin other peoples experience with computers with such things as worms and viruses?
*sigh.

I started a new game in metroid. (again) ive progressed pretty evenly. its not a distinctly difficult game. its very compelling, though some of the respawning, tedious, (at times) resource consuming enemies can get rather annoying, but that doesnt really happen till your too involved in the thing. (especially those bloody bugs that swarm out of holes in the wall, then burrow in, and explode when you touch them. and the blasted rocket pack endowed space pirates) im in rather deep (especially for me) im at the point just after you acquire the "super nuke" morph ball bomb in the phazon mines. (oh, and i truk'in hate those retro engineered samus suit stealing pirate guys. they always take me out terribly; especially the yellow ones.) the elite pirates are fun. *shakes fist at purple lunch box for not giving me the grappling hook already. here is hoping that ill be able to power through distractions and hesitation so that i might finish a proper game.
speaking of distractions, ive started playing smash bros. alot lately.

I cant bring myself to play games. I always end up playing games that dont really have progress. i have what i consider to be an overwhelming number of games. i even tend to gravitate to the huge investment 80 billion hour game play games, in what i buy. but i always just end up messing around in tony hawk or playing the ut demo. whats wrong with me?
i think i sort of just settle to be satisfied that its there if i ever wanted to go to that new place. if i were to start knocking them out tittle by tittle i would be diminishing my possiblities. i always seem to find that place in games that seems like it would take just a bit of effort to get through and i stop. usually right after the give away training levels. (very sad)
i end up forgetting where i am in the progress of the story or whatever, having put it off for so long, and starting over. again and again.
i'm some sort of sicko collector. gamers hate me for not playing my games.
