In quite a few television shows, there are hardly any charecters left from original series, or if so, there is a large number of them. In Shortladn Street, Michael Galvin's charecter Chris Warner has been alive in the show from the very first episode up to recently, and it is obvious why. I have only seen him in this Kiwi classic, but he has played the very dramatic role of Chris Warner very well and has provided a lot into the drama over the past few months I have watched it. Also, he has a good singing voice which has been displayed in Shortland Street. Overall is a very talented actor and a good singer and is a great part of the Shortland Street team.

Fleur is a very talented actress. I can remember a few years back when her show Being Eve was on and I watched it a couple of times. I can't remember to much from it, but I do know that she played her charecter well. But she is excellent at playing Libby in Shortland Street. Libby is one of my favourite charecters and is a huge laugh, espically with Gerald or Kieran. She also gives the drama into the role as well, which I find is needed in a role like this. And her anger towards Lara Wade was done well too. Overall, Fleur is very talented and I hope she stays on the show for a long time.

He had been writing for the show for five seasons and fans have many different views on him. His greatest achievement has been writing Calling All Engines, the one hour special, by himself, which I find very impressive. Some of his episodes, espically in Season Ten and Eleven, have been funny and realistic though his some still have the imaturity for the children. Two of my favourite television shows have been made by this man. Jonthan has made countless Australian teen shows. The two that I like are H20: Just Add Water and Wicked Science, which are both award winners. I think that he is very creative to come up with all these original ideas for television shows. H20 may seem slightly girly but has grippy and dramatic storylines. Wicked Science has more drama and humour and both are really good watches. Personally, I don't like some of his other shows as they don't really seem that good. However, this man is still excellent with his television shows!

Many fans were deeply disappointed when David Mitton decided to leave his job as director of Thomas the Tank Engine. Steve Asquith had been working on Thomas since Season One and had filmed two episodes in Season Six and seemed like the right person for the job. But with a new director came lots of changes. From Season Eight onwards, there were new opening and end credits, a new theme, new writers and lots of new storylines. Steve started his new job by directing Thomas into the dark ages. However, I must say that his work is improving. The episdoes are becoming better and he is trying to please both old and young fans. Hopefully he'll keep this up

I haven't heard much of his narration but the few episodes I have heard are awful. Nearly all of the voices sound the same, but there were some bad changes. His voice for James' is well known for making him sound really gay I don't really like him as an actor that much either. I saw some of "30 Rock" and he wasn't funny at all. For one thing, Phoebe does a really good job at getting Cleo's personality just right. She makes her funny, exciting and whiny which is really good. She had lots of leads in the first series so I think they should let her take a step back so that not a lot of stress is put on here. The newest American narrator seems to be the worst! I must agree with most of the bad wrap he has been given. Most of his voices make the engines sound whiny and nerdy or if the engines have a cold. His narration is alright but he makes lots of mistakes, espically the famous Rusty Gender confusion. Some are sad to see him go but personally I couldn't be more pleased

Before Season Three of Thomas the Tank Engine aired in 1993, Ringo Starr quit his job as narrator. Many fans were shocked by this but two new narrators arrived: Micheal Angelis for the United Kingdom and George Carlin for America. While growing up, the videos of Season Three were American and so George was speaking to me through the tiny trains. Well known for his comedy, George Carlin did two seasons of Thomas and all four seasons for Shining Time Station. In my view, George was an alright narrator. I have seen all of his Season Three episodes and his narration is nice and he gave the engines different tones. I thought that Thomas' voice was pretty good and Percy's and James' matched them. However, compared to Micheal Angelis in Season Four, he wasn't that good. But after all these years, he is still the best at Season Three.

The show became a sucsess and Britt made season two two years later and then redid the two seasons for America via Shining Time Station. In order to get director and model maker back for season three, Britt brought out the show TUGS and then got her crew back only to write her own episodes. After Season Four, the Rev. Awdry passed away and Britt made Season Five WILD before making Thomas and the Magic Railroad and she lost her job. So Britt went from good to EVIL!

A few years later he worked with producer Britt Allcroft to narrate season one and two again for America, and he starred as Mr Conductor in Shining Time Station. But after a rocky first season, Micheal grew to be loved globally as his narration just got better and better and was in fact offered a role in the movie, Thomas and the Magic Railroad. I like Micheal as his voice is great. I didn't really like Season Three as his voice was too whiny but it got much better in the later seasons but currently he seems to be using the same voice for a lot charecters, though he is still the best narrator ever!

His first book, Really Useful Engines, made him well known and his later books helped grow his popularity. I found his stories interesting. Pip and Emma was a good creation in my opinion and he managed to bring back the Small Railway engines. However, some of his stories have rather unrealistic happenings in them. In the Jock the Small Engine book, one story had a train stay together with paper mache? Despite some strange happenings, Christopher produced some great stories that would have made his father proud.

For all my life, I have loved Thomas the Tank Engine. However, when I was in Year Two, I was growing bored of it. But for Christmas, I got a Railway Series Collection book and I learnt all of the original stories and I fell in love again. The reverend created the series for his son, Christopher, who was sick during the second world war and his wife convinced him to release the stories as children's books. Wilbert decided to and the publishers adored the stories of Edward, Henry and Gordon and asked for more books. Soon, Thomas, James, Percy, Toby and all the others arrived and more soon followed to make this series great. I love all of his stories, espically Trucks and Edward's Exploit. Sadly, the reverend has passed away but his series lives on still today after sixty years.

As well as playing Grampus, he provided the voices of the Coast Guard, Boomer and Billy Shoepack, and you must admit, he was quite talented with them. Did you know he in also a subsitute teacher in Sussex? Lee has also been on one of my other favourite television shows, Blackadder, apparently in Season Two, Three and Four as a voice over actor. Even if you have no clue who he is, you must admit he is a great actor for Grampus!

Claire has down some excellent work as her part of Emma Gilbert in H20: Just Add Water. Emma must be a difficult role to play as she has such a bossy, short tempered nature and as Claire is only a new actress, it must have been a bit difficult to play her. She has an extensive background in performing arts and music, as well as water activities, so it is clear that she is perfect for this role as she is talented and has all the right skills. Currently, Claire is filming season two of H20 and should be back on our screens soon!

Then, in 2005, i decided to start reading the books and I instantly loved them. J.K.Rowling is a great authour. She has written nine books so far, eight of which have been published, and two's proceeds went towards charity! Her books are amazing and will never be forgetten. The most fascinating thing about them is how the whole thing was created: the last paragrpah being written before anything else and the idea coming to Joanne (J.K.) on a train! So, if you don't read her books, then I suggest you do.

If you haven't read a book by Anthony Horowitz, you haven't experienced reading! I feel in love with his books after a friend suggested the Alex Rider series to me. I got my dad to buy the first book, Stormbreaker, and I started to grow attached....

I got my dad to buy the first book, Stormbreaker, and I started to grow attached. Later, I got Point Blanc out of the library, then brought Skeleton Key and then got a signed copy of Eagle Strike! The series is a great read and the seventh book, Snakehead- Alex Rider Bites Back, is out in November. For my birthday last year, a friend gave me the first book in The Power of Five series, Raven's Gate, and, like the Alex Rider books, I got them all! So, go to your library and get as many of his books out and start reading!
