GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

Well I originally bought a second monitor (both 1920x1080) for my PC, it was rather nice for awhile I must say. Having windows opened on both monitors had made my school work a ton more easy to finish up. Eventually I grew tired and bored of the dual monitor setup, especially when opening up/running a game on one monitor made the other one brighter (gamma goes through the roof) this was mostly with id games for some reason that caused this. Quake Wars and Doom 3 for example did this. I could have just turned off the other monitor while I played, but that defeats the purpose of having two monitors in the first place. I just began to feel as if that second monitor wasn't getting it's moneys worth. Having the vista sidebar on the second monitor open while playing a game was rather nice though, could keep track of my internet connection signal, my gpu fan speed all the core temps etc. without having to minimize the game. Anywho, something was missing though, I would always have to go to the living room to play my console games (Wii, PS3 and 360) So I decided to take my 24'' inch Dell monitor and logitech 5.1 surround sound and hook up my 360 to it. It's been like this for a couple of days now and I will keep it like this for a while. I was originally going to use my PS3 instead, but then again I use that too as my blu-ray player in my living room for movie nights on my 42'' Panasonic Viera so that idea was quickly shut down Plus, I spend more time on Xbox Live anyways so it was a win win situation. PC and 360 side by side is something I can get use too. Gaming multitasking ftw! lol. So I am looking forward to many sleepless nights, achievement hunting and playing games on the PC. Now I have 5.1 sound on both 360 and PC running simultaneously thanks to my PC's sound card. On to the pics.

New games

Battlefield: Bad Company

So far has been fantastic, engaging single player story and a real nice multiplayer experience as well (ranks, unlocks etc)

All makes me even more excited to see Bad Company 2 coming to the PC and hopefully BF3 won't be to shabby either.

R6: Vegas 2

Already beat the single player story on realistic and now I will be jumping in to play coop and adversarial MP.

Fight Night Round 4

I loved Round 3 so I just had to pick this one up.

Fantastic visuals!!! and really great gameplay makes you really feel like a true boxer.

----

GTA 4: Lost and Damned DLC

and finally this one L&D for GTA 4, wow just wow!

Just an hour and 30 minutes in and already I can see this has been worth the money.

Enjoying the story so far, great dialogue and memorable characters.

Not to mention some new awesome bikes/weapons to use now.

Although when Johnny shouts at the enemy, he sometimes sounds just like Niko for some ood reason.

Well that has probably been my most lengthy blog yet. lol

Thanks for reading this and as always comments are most welcomed.

Have a good one folks, until next time.

Really nice set-up ... I really should post mine (not nearly as good as yours though). I could set up my 360 in on my monitor (hardly every use my desktop now I have a laptop), but I'd rather it on the 100cm LCD

@Dan_Lero - Thanks The whole 2 monitor thing in the end seems to have been a good idea.

@daqua_99 - Thank you. I had been contemplating posting my setup here on a blog for a while now, I just needed new desk furniture my old desk was a Wal-Mart desk that I bought when I first moved to this apartment, but after 2 years living here I knew it was time to upgrade, so I finally bought some IKEA furniture about 2 and a half weeks now. loving it! You should definitely post yours, I love seeing other peoples setups great to get inspired and get new ideas. I know what you mean, being this close to this 24" inch monitor is actually pretty cool, you get to see all that detail you miss from a far when sitting on a sofa in the living room. Then again I would never trade my sweet 42" Panasonic in my living room.

@3DGENERATION - Thanks! It's hard to move from this spot sometimes now. If only the kitchen was closer!

@nutcrackr - Thx. I love telling people all about the game, when they ask "what the hell is STALKER?" Then I go off on a 30 minute long in-depth explanation of the game and the real worlds events that occured in Ukraine in 1986. Then I realize they have fallen asleep lol. If only the US had gotten a sweet collectors edition too I would so have one. The Lost and Damned should totally be on the PC too, it is such a nice/welcomed addition to GTA IV. Rockstar wants you to buy a Xbox 360 I guess.

Nice setup....

One problem though, what's that 360 doing there? Just pack it up and put it in the closet and everything will be picture perfect.

@EarthThatWas - The DLC has been fantastic so far, just became leader of the Lost. Can't wait to see how it ends.

@Gamartto - Thanks. Oh cool, I have become so attached to that MX518 mouse.
