GAMES: GameSpot GameFAQs MOVIES: Metacritic Movietome Comic-Con

When it comes down to it, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is by far one of the most immersive first person games ever created hands down. The atmosphere in game is unmatched by any other game out there imo. After playing for couple of minutes the new STALKER Complete 2009 mod here, I was once again hooked on my favorite game. Clear Sky did not match my expectations, eventhough a decent game in it's own right (especially after patches) I still love the original much more, because of the time period in which it takes place and the sheer edge of your seat scares, knowing there are so many mutants and creatures all around the Zone especially at night. Survival horror-ish at times even. The mod merges countless mods together beautifully and not only adds all the eye candy, but also adds many gameplay fixes the game needed from the get go, like the enemies that could spot you from ridiculous distances, even at night (huh?) if you want to sneak up on the enemy now, go right ahead it's possible and a lot of fun. I have played other mods of course (Oblivion Lost, Priboi Story etc etc), but I still enjoy the vanilla storyline best and this mod provides just that. Below are some screenshots I have taken while playing the mod. Can't wait for Call of Pripyat!

bioshock 2 and mua 2 should be good enough for me

Bioshock 2 and Borderlands are both high on my list. STALKER (I'm too lazy to add the . after each letter) is one I'd love to see head over to consoles. My PC is a turd from the bronze age that someone unearthed and then attached a monitor to, so I can't handle the high-end games.

nice coin, where did you acquire such a priceless artifact?

i haven't really touched many mods with stalker, usually they do something that annoys me like making it harder, making it too dark etc. I have used some sky mods, i made my own flashlight mod but yeah I haven't really wanted to try anymore.

lots of games to check out at e3, but I'm still hopeful for some unannounced pc exclusives to pop up and steal the show

I own STALKER, but I still can't run it on my PC.

@The_PC_Gamer - I like the CryEngine (Blade Runner game please! a man can dream lol) but personally for STALKER I like the X-Ray engine better, too much of the games original atmosphere would be lost by using a new engine, I would much rather see them improve and develop the X-Ray engine and push it to the limit. We shall see what happens with STALKER 2.

@nutcrackr - Well coin thing began as I stumbled upon a sticky on the GSC STALKER forums, I followed the progress for a couple of months until the guy had a design and so forth. here He took pre-orders for those interested and 100 coins were made and I believe they are all gone. I am glad I found about it when I did, otherwise I would have missed out. Especially since US didn't get a collectors edition of STALKER, this is a good substitute.

Ah mods for STALKER yes I know what you mean. This is pretty much why I like this mod (STALKER Complete 2009), because the vanilla game is pretty much intact and doesn't mess too much with the original formula and makes the gameplay much more fun and accessible.

I too hope for a PC exclusive announcement at E3.

Thanks for the comments you guys!
