Besides, the PS3 is the future, so why go for a device which is quickly getting out-dated? (Yes, I am talking about the Xbox 360 here...) I really like the Xbox 360! It's a magnificent machine, but I feel like it has reached it's potential and now we need something new with room for advancement and creativity in whole new level. You are a fool to believe that, it's got nigh on 7 million units gone, in homes world wide... and it's STILL comparitively powered to PS3. You feel it's reached it's potential? what the hell does that mean? how can a console thats bearly been out a year be out of date. just because the PlayStation 3 is arriving 1 YEAR late! The 360 certainly doesn't NEED a massive overhaul in order to compete, it's the next-gen market leader FFS! Sony are making mistakes all over the shop with PS3. delays, raffle tickets, HUGE price, twice the price of a 360, nearly 3 times that of a Wii(which is own IMHO)... 1 or two games that are WORTH looking at(MGS4 and FF13) Who the hell wants to buy a machine that is bound to be fraught with bugs, tech issues(from past PS experience) loads of Sh.i.te games, and little or no innovation. not me.
X360 and Wii all the way. Stfu PS3.
And I'm not bitter about the PS3 not coming to EU for months, like most of my gaming buddies who work long hard hours to make £1500 a month. mortgages and cars to pay for, kids to feed and wives and girlfriends to satiate, aren't going to be spending ridiculous amounts of hard earned cash on what, should be, an impulse purchase. £400-600 for a games console is ridiculous. With nothing in the box to play on it. I haven't seen anything on PS3 that has made me want to spend nigh on £600 for it. I suspect we're paying less for the tech, more for the brand.
If I had it my way there'd be a world wide boycot of PS3, teach sony a lesson for ripping off the punters, and leaving an entire territory in the dark. PS3 will NOT own anywhere outside of japan. especially if Sony keep dragging their overly wealthy heals in every territory other than it's own.

as for creativity and advancement, when, aside from the Eyetoy, has sony EVER shown an ounce of creativity or advancement of the industry. If it's creativity and advancement you want, take the $600 you're going to spend on a PS3 and spend it on a Wii, Twilight Princess, a 360 and GeOW. and still have enough left over to take your missus out for a drink and dance. she'll thank you for it. and so will creativity and advancement.
