This year, I have been taking an AP Java class, and so far its been pretty cool. I have learned how to make Java interfaces like pop-up windows and applets, which can make for some pretty useful programs. We just started learning web page design. I already know a lot of html, but now I can incorporate it with java programs. I'm hoping to make some flash games once we start doing more animation oriented programming. The thing is, I don't really know where to start. I could use the graphical user interface and draw everything, but there must be an easier way. Does anyone know of any good flash game programs that could possibly be of use to me?

There are a couple programs by Adobe and Macromedia that you might want to look into. I think there was a program bundle called Macromedia Sweep, if not then I think there's one called Macromedia Flash that some people used in my Web Design classes the last few years (I took three of those classes, started with HTML codes, then a web site program called Dreamweaver and then Fireworks while also getting into Photoshop on my spare time). Speaking of which, you might want to look into Fireworks (again, Macromedia I think) and see if that's any help. I'd try Wikipedia or Googling it to see for sure.

Thanks for the input. I'll look into those.

Man, I wish I could easily take a course like you, but that's not exactly how it is here.. I don't even know if I can easily take something new, or if it all has to be planned, or even if my school offers that!

I'd love to get into web designing soon.. Hopefully, I will. But not the coding just yet - Seems too hard.

If you look to buy any of the Macromedia packages for yourself, make sure you get the academic versions, because they are much, much cheaper. A local university bookstore is a great place to start.

Thanks for the tip. I'd like to spend as little as possible considering I'm not completely fluent in the language yet.
