So after the first day of school, why not break down the student body at the school. There are around 250 kids in the entire high school, that number was from last year, there might have been a decline. But anyways, here is a breakdown of my classes along with the class size
Sophomore Year-- 39 kids
1st Hour- English-- 21 kids
2nd hour- Geography-- 13 kids
3rd hour- Biology-- 11 kids
4th Hour- Religion-- 12 kids
5th Hour- Spanish-- 16 kids
6th Hour- Geometry-- 10 kids
7th Hour- Band-- 19 kids
And remember, these hours-- save for English-- contain Freshman-Seniors. I have some periods with a few juniors in them. That is quite the learning environment... everyone knows your name and everyone knows your personality. It's nice... but it does have its cons.
Anyways, the school seems smaller though. The Grade school next door shut down after 120 years of teaching. The economic turmoil and decline in enrollment contributed. I wouldn't be surprised if the high school shut down in 10 years or so. I always have said that it will close when the Academics Dean dies. He has been working at the school since 1963.
It was a good first day though. It happened to be in the 80s and sunny, so the air conditioning free school was hotterthan hell. Afewrooms were nice, but others were unbearable.
One last thought, in Spanish, we had to recite the Pledge of Allegiance in Spanish.... isn't that kind of backwards....
Go learn something new,

@Dudersaper: Sounds like Day 1 of freshman year....or driver's ed class @LJS9502_basic: No, you can't... usually the back row is off limits. But I usually go middle row
@Guppy507: And it always seems like only the Spanish room is extremely hot.. doesn't make any sense
@sammjenkis898: I don't know how much smaller our school could go
@aaronmullan: Good, that great that your having a good time. And, if you can believe it, there were 45 kids originally in our 9th grade last year
@Travo_basic: I wouldn't have it any other way though, I have been in a small school my whole life.
