Growing up, I've constantly been in love with Nintendo. When I look back on some of my fondest memories in gaming, the majority of these times were because of Nintendo games. I simply can not resist the great games Nintendo has. This blog will discuss some of those games, that I will always remember.
Donkey Kong 64

I know for a fact that this is the first Nintendo game I ever got into...and boy did I play this game a lot. Back when I had my Nintendo 64, I put around 250 hours into one file of this game, and around 70 on another one. It was just that damn good. This is the greatest Donkey Kong game of all time, and I really crave another one like this...rather than that stupid racing and rhythm crap. This game is just so awesome. Going around various and original environments as your selected Kong was just a thriller by itself. I really loved the platforming days of the Nintendo 64. Why can't there be another one of these games? It was loved by nearly anyone that played it. If this game comes out on the virtual console, I am buying it for sure. It was just one of those games that I could never stop playing.
Super Mario 64

Easily considered one of the greatest games of all time, Super Mario 64 was just simply outstanding. Exploring the castle in search of the princess could not have been done better. The overall idea in this game is beyond good. I remember being so excited when I jumped through a new portrait to collect those stars. None of the Mario platformers can top this one. The controls were awesome, and the music is still stuck in my head to this day. The imagination and creativity put forth in this game, just made it such an experience for me, back in the day.
Banjo Tooie

Looking back on the Nintendo 64 days, I was a big platforming guy. Banjo Tooie was the same ****as Donkey Kong and Mario, but it had its differences. I really liked all of the things you had to do in this game. In my opinion, the things you had to do in this game seemed unlimited. From collecting musical notes to finding little creatures known as Jinjos, this game was just awesome. All of the powers that Banjo and Kazooie acquired were great, too. I'm hoping that Banjoe: Nuts and Bolts (although no longer affiliated with Nintendo) is like this game...yet I am not expecting it to be better. Nothing can beat this game, except maybe the original one.
Pokemon: Gold Version

This game is by far my favorite Pokemon game ever. Yeah, it wasn't the first of its kind, but this game went through such a tremendous improvement from the original, that it simply beats it. The Johto region was by far the most enjoyable experience in any Pokemon RPG for me, and going back to take down the gym leaders in Kanto was an awesome addition. Let's not forget the plethora of pokemon this game offered. Gold version is simply the best, and is my second favorite RPG of all time. My favorite one coming up on the list...
The Legend of Zelda: The Windwaker

Yes, this is my favorite Zelda game of all time! *Hides* Seriously, the windwaker was incredible. Sailing around was an awesome feature, and going through the numerous islands and encountering new enemies was great. While it was a tad bit easier than most Zelda games, this game just had that charm for me. I loved all of the side quests it had to offer, and going through the game again was nearly as fun as it was the first time. The windwaker was also a bit more on the comical side, which is always nice.
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door

Yeah, this game is my favorite game of all time! The Thousand Year Door was just such an awesome game from start to finish. The numerous characters, each with their own personality and story, was one of the most stellar things in this game. The story was also great, not to mention how challenging this game was. For those wondering, I have played the original Paper Mario and it is nearly as good, but this game is just better. It was an unforgettable experience for me. If any of you reading this haven't played this game, do it!
Super Mario World

Super Mario World is the only game I've bought three times. It is just worth it. It is easily one of the most addicting games, not to mention the convenience, now on a portable console. Playing through this fantastic platformer never gets old, for me. Hell, I was playing this game yesterday
. It's just the best pick up and play game on the market.

Most of you guys are probably wondering why I mentioned some games, and didn't mention others...well, the games that I talked about are the ones that I just loved among all games. All of the honorable mentions are fantastic games, too.
So anyways, even today, Nintendo has impressed me with their wide variety of games. Although, the games aren't as great as they were in the past, Nintendo is still doing well. The fact that they continue the same series throughout their evolution of consoles and somehow keeps things fresh with each new game, shows that they are just that brilliant. Thank you Nintendo for giving me such fond memories. I hope that you guys continue to keep making great games in the future, and give the kids the experiences I had growing up. Thank you for reading this blog. That is all.

Super Mario 64 is still the greatest game I've ever played. It's still so much fun to play to this day. The Thousand-Year Door is also a fantastic game, it's my favorite out the Paper Mario trilogy.
