The Dark Knight was my most anticipated movie of this year. Finally, I got to see it, and it doesn't disappoint! This movie is by far the greatest comic book movie ever created! The Dark Knight is nearly perfect in all regards, no lie. Whether it was the acting or the intense story, the Dark Knight was simply fantastic. For those of you contemplating seeing this (I don't know why you wouldn't), do yourself a favor and see it as soon as possible! I am going to be seeing it a second time with my dad, and I can't wait. As said, the acting was phenomenal. Heath Ledger played the Joker so well in this move, and he made the Joker my favorite movie villain of all time. I am not lying, that is saying a lot. The Joker in this movie was so awesome. What happened to Heath Ledger was so tragic, and I don't think anyone can do a better job than he did. The Joker alone was terrific, but everything else was, too! One thing I really loved about this movie was that they took the time to have actors that had maybe 3 minutes of screen play that were really good! There were so many famous and excellent actors in this film, and they all played their part extremely well. Even if there was a character that I disliked, I have to admit that the acting was awesome. Another really cool thing about this film was the story. I won't spoil things for you, but the story had its twists here and there, and let's just say it didn't end in a way you would typically think it would...that is all I am going to say there. Not to mention the constant foreshadowing put forth in the film...in fact, when I go to see it my second time I am sure I will pick up some more clever hints that reveal what happens further on in the movie. The dialogue was really good; there were numerous lines that were awesome in their powerful way. Plus, the Joker made portions of the movie comical, and I am laughing right now at some of the stuff he said. Oh and the action in the movie was really intense. The constant explosions and fight scenes were memorable. I can't describe the greatness of this film, go see it now! Everything was stellar, and there really aren't any better super hero movies out there...this beats them all by a landslide. I mean, it had fantastic its action, acting, laughs, length, story, and violence. There were moments were I was tense due to a grim scene, and times where I was laughing my head off. I also forgot to point out that this is by far the darkest, most violent, and realistic Joker caught in any Batman film. I can't get over how awesome the Joker was, sorry for going off topic. I don't want to reveal anything, as always, but there is another enemy featured in this film...and his make up is so well done...I'll leave it at that, see for yourself. That's about it!

If I had one word to describe this film, the word interesting comes to mind. It's one of those movies that will make you laugh, but give you nightmares at the same time. Overall, Sandler stars in a decent film, but not anywhere near his cla$$ics like Water Boy, Happy Gilmore, or Billy Madison. However, it was better than some of his films, particularly the more recent ones. I liked this better than Chuck and Larry, even though I wasn't fond of it to begin with. Anyways, this movie has great, typical humor that will probably guarantee you a laugh. However, this movie goes way overboard in a weird way...more than once you'll be in disbelief of what you just saw. Looking back on those disturbing scenes, I laugh. They are hilarious, but at first you'll be scarred temporarily. Anyways, this movie didn't have the most fantastic story behind it, but that doesn't make me upset. For me, a good comedy generally has some sort of plot, but not some thorough concept that you'd have to watch seven times to understand. You Don't Mess with the Zohan had its story, but I won't get into it just to completely avoid spoiling the movie at all. It will make you laugh with the constant sex-related jokes, especially if you are a teenager much like myself. Also, for those teens out there, I recommend you see this movie with a friend and not your parents. I could only imagine how uncomfortable I'd be watching this around them. Nonetheless, it is a pretty decent film that will probably keep you entertained throughout the entirety of it.

Introduction: I am not what you consider a "hardcore Simpsons fan", but I have seen a bunch of episodes. The new season is where I lost my interest. The show was getting old and I could tell the series would fall down hill from there on out. To my surprise, I was wrong...well sort of. After seeing the advertisements for The Simpsons Movie, I was a bit excited to see the famous yellow family on the big screen. Since the show was not as good as it once was, I did not expect the movie to be very humerous. Fortunately, I was wrong and this movie was great. The numerous parodies and jokes were new and fresh, and the movie was consistently funny. From start to finish I was content with what I was viewing...even though it was pretty short.

Summary: Homer screws up big time in this movie as a parent and also being an irresponsible adult. He dumps a metal container full of pig crap into Lake Springfield, while signs tell him not to pollute in the lake. Homer is found out of his crime because his name was labeled on the back of the container...This causes Springfield to be covered by a giant half circle with a small opening on the top. The Simpons family then becomes hated by the whole town, as riots charge to their home. They manage to escape the sudden revolt and move to Alaska. The news says that people are planning on destroying Springfield and all of its residents. Homer wants to stay at Alaska so the rest of the family leaves him in an attempt to save their initial hometown...Whether or not everything is resolved, I will not say.

Overall: All in all, I really enjoyed this movie. The storyline was pretty original and evena bit suspenseful for a comedy cartoon. There are constants jokes throughout the film to keep viewers entertained. This movie paodies a lot of things including Green Day and even Grand Theft Auto. Even if you have never watched a single episode of the hit TV series, you will like the movie. Veteran Simpsons fans should be pleased to know you can expect to see pretty much every Simpsons character. This is a must see and a must purchase when it is released on DVD.
