A lot of the fun in watching T.V. shows is routing for your favorite couples, so here is a list of my favorite T.V. show couples that do not end up together. Some of them are couples that the writers intend to put together but they want them to have some struggles first, and a few of them may not ever work out. I'll warn you that it is just the few shows that I watch, and a lot of it is Grey's Anatomy. This is partly because the cast has split up leaving dead ends for some of my favorite couples and because the show is really good at hinting that two people are meant to be together even when things don't work out for them. So here it is (starting with my favorite)
1. Alex and Izzie(Grey's Anatomy)- I have always loved these two, the way Alex cares but has trouble expressing it makes me really want them to get together.
2. Blair and Chuck(Gossip Girl)- They have great chemistry and they understand each other, if only Chuck wasn't afraid of having a relationship.
3. Susan and Mike- (Desperate Housewives) Things never seem to work out for these two, but it makes you route for them even more. They compliment each other so well.
4. Mark and Addison (Grey's Anatomy)- They had great chemistry, they just needed to wait for Mark to get used to the idea of a serious relationship, which I'm sure he would
5. George and Lexie (Grey's Anatomy)- I love how she is falling for him. They are so cute together; I just hope George realizes it soon. So cute that he could end up with Meredith's sister.
6. Brooke and Mouth(One Tree Hill)- Brooke need to be with a nice guy and their have been a few hints that she would end up with someone like him.
7. Rachel and Mouth (One Tree Hill)- I really can't decide whether I would rather see Mouth with Rachel or Brooke. He has always had chemistry with Rachel but I really want to see Brooke end up with someone good.
8. Christina and Burke (Grey's Anatomy)- They were both so dedicated too their careers and they understood each other. I can't picture either of them with anyone else, even though I know they won't work.
9. Cooper and Violet (Private Practice)- I was routing for these too last season, we don't see as much of them but they have a good friendship, with the potential for it to turn into something more.
10. Lilly and Rufus (Gossip Girl)- They are clearly meant to be together and they both know it, things just don't work out for them.
Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice are two of my favorite shows so far this season, but the question is which one is better. In the past I would not have had any question about this but I am starting to really like Private Practice and Grey's is starting to seem like the same old thing. Even though the shows are have similar premises, they are so different.
Private Practice- It takes a little bit of time to get into a private practice episode because the characters lives aren't extremely interesting, but once you do the medical cases are great. They deal with some really unusual cases, with great ethical issues, where you always find yourself shocked at what's happening.
Grey's Anatomy- The main reason I tune in is because I love the characters so much, but sometimes things get repetitve. I think everyone is tired of Meredith complaining and not being able to be happy, not to mention Alex not being able to grow up. The medical cases can also be boring, it seems like they have run out of interesting ideas.
Although I get more excited about Grey's, because I know how great it can be, I would have to say that Private Practice is currently the better show.
Wow, I haven't done a blog in a long time.
Anyways, when I first found out that you could only rate episodes a whole number or a .5 I was annoyed since it would be hard to be specific about it. Now that I think about it, it may actually be better. I used to give everything between an eight and nine so this will just spread it out more. Anyways here's my new criteria; it's mostly for me, but you can use it when reading my reviews or if you want to get ideas on how to rate episodes.
10 not only one of the best episodes of the show but there was something extra special about it
9.5 one of the best episodes of the show
9 good, something special about it
8.5 better than average
8 average
7.5 ok, but it was kind of boring
7 the storylines weren't very good
6.5 there was something about this episode that I really didn't like
6 this episode was bad
5 this was really bad, what were the writters thinking
4 this episode was so bad that it was starting to make me mad
2.5 it's ruining the series for me
