The movie is a complete satire of Mexican corruption around the 60's I believe, and it gets to a lot because that is exactly what happened. The movie is funny because it includes death, corruption, cheating, murder, etc. but still it manages to give out a complete look at corruption combined with dark comedy, which makes this movie quite exquisite. The many songs that appear throughout the film is a superb collection, from Yellow Submarine, Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds, Sgt.
