Nintendo are having a promotion where if we refer each other, Nintendo will give us 500 free points (as long as you haven't used the Wii Shop Channel before or have only recently connected to it in for the first time in the last 30 days).
All we have to do it exchange our Wii numbers.
My one is 3310 1219 1339 6863
Anyway to do this, go into the Wii Shop channel, go to settings and then click on the right button big button option (person who helped) and enter my number (then i will do the same).

I connected to it a long time ago... it is the place where you buy virtual games isnt it.
Ill try to help out by referring you though i don't know if it counts... And gee i bloody hate FC why can't they be usernames like the better consoles.

Does connecting to the shop require a firmware update? If it does I am out. Firmware update = no more NTSC games for me.

Don't think so, i managed to use it without the latest update (usually updates for the shop channel are seperate).
