Last year ended on a really sour note for Wii, the console I spend most time with. Animal Crossing City Folk and Wii Music seemed like the games that Nintendo wanted to call their "holiday" games. So I immediately thought that 2009's Wii lineup would be 100 times more impressive than late 2008's.
I was mistaken.
Nintendo only released a handful of games that I have, or am willing to buy: Excite Bots, Punch Out, and Wii Sports Resort... well that's really it for me. And later this year, the only games Nintendo will be releasing that I'll get for sure are New SMB Wii and Metroid Prime Trilogy (which is a collection of games that I have already played). This is really sad.
I don't know what the 3rd Party Developers are releasing because when it comes to Wii games, exclusives always come first with me. I do not own a 3rd Party Wii game. So personally I think Nintendo is doing a rather crappy job with Wii games this year. I mean, WiiMotionPlus is definately a big leap, but I already know that Nintendo isn't going to take advantage of that in most of their games. Seriously, there are already more 3rd Party games with WiiMotionPlus than 1st Party!
I just know that Nintendo is going to do really bad this year on the Wii, sales are sliding. Really? Yeah, for the first time ever this year, Wiis are being sold less.
My thoughts are once again putting my username to shame.

Wii is a good secondary console. I couldn't survive without having my 360 and just a Wii.
