Well for the past 2 weeks I have entered a new stage in my life, university. I came up with a car filled with my stuff and after settling in for my room for a bit and saying goodbye to my parents it was my first taste of independence.
The first few days felt a bit wierd as I got handed loads of fliers and stuff abut clubs and parties. The first night out I was out till 2am with my flatmates. it was good for a few days but then I started to feel out of place at Univerisity as I'm not really a party animal, I'm a rather boring person who doesn't need alcohol to have fun. I started to feel like I didn't belong there and then I went to the first Christian Union event.
It was amazing, I met loads of new people and finally met some people who were feeling the same way as me. 2 weeks later I'm been hanging out with a load Christian Union friends.
I also met a few friends on a film night and it's been strange wandering around town around midnight. The strange thing is that most of these new found friends are girls
but then I suppose I should be glad for this as my course has only got one girl on it.
Lastly about this my flat mates, they are really friendly nice people and I feel a bit bad about borrowing some of their stuff. The only problem is when they come in drunk when you want a good night sleep. It makes you just want to go home to get a good nights rest. But I suppose I should expect it as student life, but it kind of makes me look forward to the second and third year.
Speaking of my course, I have a strange feeling about it. Some days it sounds awesome and some days I'm starting to doubt about doing it. This is partly because I get a bit freaked out by the people on my course. I thought it would be great to have people who like games as much as me, the problem is they all seem to be PC players who like FPS's and WoW. This has kind of scared me a bit but then I haven't talked to everyone yet. Maybe it's just my snobbish view on Video games but I would like to meet some people who like console games like me.
I haven't started the course properly, this week we had to make a game using one button which produced some interesting resultts, but hopefully next week we'll start learning some proper stuff
So it's been a crazy two weeks and hopefully everything will be ok

Hello all again
Since my last entry I've got my A Level results and I got what I needed to go to university so Games Computing here I come
as you can expect this means I've really only got 3 weeks left of staying in my home town. This is rather sad as I'll be departing from some friends I've known for like 12 years and some I've really become good friends with in the last 3 or so years. Well I'm having to remind myself it's going to happen whether I like it or not we've grown up now and time to enter the big wide world. Something else that is really wierd is that my feelings about my job have been flipped upside down, this time last year I hated my last job, but my current job I don't want to leave
one thing I've learnt from the work experience is that working in retail is far too stressful for a full time job.
This brings me onto University and how the games industry seems to be helping me to break the ice so to speak
the reason I say this is because basically all of my beloved gaming franchises (bar Shenmue and KOTOR) seem to be releasing a new game. The list is as follows:
Last point I have is to explain a very "teen movie" moment I had this week. A bit of backstory about a month ago a good friend from work went on holiday for a month. Anyway I was out clubbing on Monday and all of a sudden I was standing by the dance floor and I suddenly got quite depressed about how my socialising is bad and generally feeling rather down. So I decided to leave the dance floor and find my other friend who was sitting with some of my other friends. This is when it happened I was plodding along to the seating area and I looked up and met the eyes of my good friend and realised she was back
from then on the evening went great and my confused friends must of thought I was a right ladies man with a load of girls standing around me ^_^.
The problem is know do I tell this friend that I kinda like her or let it pass?
So I can probably say the next 3 weeks will be interesting.

Hey all been a while since I've blogged but o well.
The reason for the title is that I've been watching the Xbox 360 montage video from E3 on my 360 ( I like the music anyone know the title or anything?) and as per usual for a marketing video it has a lot of pictures of fake happy people. Normally I hate this kind of thing but I seem to like the Xbox ones I don't know why, it's the same with Apple's iPod adverts I seem to like them as well.
Well I got a new TV (The Samsung Syncmaster 940MW) so I can finally play my 360 games in 720p it makes a huge difference for games I have seen however videos I can't really tell the difference. It does look slightly better but not a huge difference. This makes me worry that the new HD DVD's and Blu ray formats are not gonna look that different compared to the DVD-VHS comparison. Maybe at 1080p there is more of a difference.
Finally I've done all my exams (and failed my driving test) so it's been a nice long holiday for me for July until September. This means a lot of time for games and Amazon UK have been nice and helpful and made a load of games cheap, so theres now no excuse to buy Psychonauts i'll keep you posted.
Laters.
Some people just don't have opinions. Like NinjaUK.
NinjaUK must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could NinjaUK possibly have for not rating a single film?
