Animus Termines or Aniter for short is the name of a fantasy world I have been developing since 2003.
The world of Aniter is not a planet and there is no space, stars or suns, instead it holds it own laws of reality and physics and despite the world being flat it can be travelled around as if it wasn't.
I am not going to list the solutions for the alternative laws of reality/physics I have worked on since it is not revelant at the moment and can be too difficult to explain properly right now.
There is three worldparts or rather levels of Aniter.
The main part is a large continent on a scale possibly similar to Asia, it is surrounded by an outer sea and is stretched wide by a vast inner sea, the inner sea alost entirely enclosed by the landmass with only one area where it directly connects with the outer sea, but it is by it atleast half as large as the actual continent that surrounds it.
This continent at one of it's cultural peaks houses around fifty nations ranging from city-states to empires along with a population of several hundred millions.
The the second part of the world is an enormous cavernal system below the main continent.
And the third part is a vast number of floating islands far above the main continent.
Aniter is originally inhabited by a single humanoid race very similar to ordinary humans in appearance, with the exception of that they completely lack genders both physically and culturally, the matter of procreation is one of the things that can be hard to explain so I won't go specifically into it.
Aniter is meant to have been created by the spirits of eleven humans from another world ( possibly earth ) and was influenced by their former lives when they formed their "ideal" world.
Example being that the world share "english" as it's solecommon language, although a bit altered to function along with the developing cultures.
However there is another language that is unfinished and develops over time, it is characterized by that all words that are added are names of the most important historical figures and the meaning is depending on what impact their lives had on the world, as an example is the eleven gods who all have their names taken as words in this special language and that their names mean things such as love or hate.
The most unique part of Aniter however might be it's magic which can take any imaginable form.
In short the magic is a direct result of things such as belief and imagination and is possibly attainable by anyone.
An example is that an insane fanatic believing in his own immortality could very well become immortal, that is until he starts to lose faith in his own beliefs or maybe if he faces someone with even stronger beliefs.
This is just a short introduction to some of the basics of my project and since it is a bit hard for me to explain some of the ideas I don't know how much sense I am making.
However I have many ideas for stories set in this world that I want to write, from many different ages and cultures.
So I think that it will make much more sense once the ideas is told as actual stories.

I would love to read it, Nimroc, but I don't allow myself to read others' creative work unless I'm forced to
Anyway, I'm taking this time to say that it's been a while. How are you?

My faverite aspect of your fantasy world is the magic which you base it on beliefs. That's a really interesting idea and I would love to see how it could function in the given societies of the world you have created. Just imagine having religious cults living 'magically" in completely different ways just because of their different beliefs.
And though a lot of the things you have pointed out make sense to me, I can see them easily confusing the average reader, especially the whole magic and gender thing. So I must caution you to be careful when explaining the given contents of your world as the stroy develops. It's best to keep it as simple as possible and often use similies. Comparing the complex aspects of you fantasy world to aspects that the reader would be familiar would make it much easier for the reader to fully and rightfully imagine the fantasy world you have created.
Anyways, great job thus far. I am really looking forward to hearing what kind of storyline you will develope in the future. And I hope that I get to read your fantasy novels in the future, assuming that you will be writing them in English.
