The Trinity

-25 Minutes Later-

Lucas has his hands above his knees as he bends down, breathless

"Rafen...Rafen"

Lucas says, outta breath

"We've been training for hours..."

Rafen looks at the sun hidden behind the dark rainy clouds. Both are covered in water from the rain as it was getting heavier

"It's only been 25 minutes"

"It's been a year since i've seen any action so excuse me for being slightly rusty, Plus i've almost been struck by lightning twice. Just face it this ability doesn't want to grow on me"

"Fine we'll stop but try one last time"

Lucas takes a few breathes and stands straight

"Alright, Let's do this"

Rafen smiles and closes his eyes and opens his arms. Lucas focuses on Rafen, he places his index finger and middle finger of his right and left hand on the sides of his head

"Calmly remember? You're not ready for forced control"

"Sit"

Lucas says as his face is focusing as hard as he can. The vain grows on his forehead and suddenly a tear of blood escapes from his tearduck. He drops on one knee, A weird black aura starts to grow between Rafen and Lucas. Rafen opens his eyes and there's a odd black liquid beginning to cover his Iris. Layla parks her car in front of Lucas' apartments. She takes her cell phone out and calls Lucas. She waits and there's no answer

"Yes...Yes, Almost"

Rafen spoke, Lucas started to force the focus, Layla got the answering machine

"This is Lucas, Either i'm out or i'm ignoring this call, Leave your name and digits and i'll call you back, Bye"

She hangs up and opens the door, Her eyes glow a neon blue, She holds her hand above her head as the rain doesn't hit her. It's like she's holding an invisible umbrella, She walks to the apartment door and walks inside and starts walking up the stairs. Lucas starts to bleed from his ears suddenly Rafen's eyes are fully black, Rafen smiles wickedly as he takes a seat on the ground, Lucas releases his grip and drops on the floor. Layla walks into Lucas' apartment.

"Sorry, The door was open...Lucas?"

She looks around, Noticing the blanket on the couch. She looks at all the papers on the table, She takes one and reads it

"To My Lukey..."

She smiles

"I wrote this for him when we started dating"

She pushes the papers around and sees several notes from her to him then she sees a paper that wasn't from her. She picks it up and reads it

"Discharge letter?"

"I spent 4 years in a metal institution"

Layla turned around, Standing there was Lucas, wet from the rain

"Lucas...I never knew"

"It's not something that comes up during coffee and cheeseburgers. I was ashamed and mad at the past I had and didn't want to tell you cause telling you would bring life to the darkness of my past"

"I understand but why were you in a mental hospital?"

Lucas stared at the paper in Layla's hand as he stepped into his home. No sign of Rafen in sight

　-4 Years Ago-

Lucas is in a hospital bed, laying back with blankets over him. He sees nothing but blackness and is startled by it, quickly sitting up. He feels his eyes and feels the bandage around them. As he feels them he feels the pain as his fingers touch his weak eyes. He puts his hands down

"Lucas..."

Lucas gets startled from hearing his name, He looks around, breathing out of control

"Dad?...Who's there?"

"Listen, My name is Bradley...I work with your father, I'm a General at N.O.W (Newts. Over. War) with your father"

"Bradley...Where is my father?"

"He's in the waiting room, he fell asleep. He's been worried sick about you, So I thought it would help if I didn't wake him"

"Oh.."

Lucas became calm, Lucas looks around

"Am...I..."

"Blind, The Doctor says it's temporary. He left you some pills right here"

"Uh okay"

The sadness could be heard in Lucas' voice

"Listen, You need your rest so i'll make this quick. In a couple of years, They'll will be a..job opening of sort. It's called The Trinity. What I want you to do is to apply to it when it's offered to you and that's it"

Lucas seemed confused

"Trinity? Why?"

"Because it would help you and your father, Trust me"

"Sorry but i'm not interested in joining the military, i've talked to my father about it and he says I don't have to"

"Son, It's not the military, It's something different. I'll tell you what, I'll make this easier for you to think about"

Bradley leans in, Lucas still can't see him

"If you don't accept it right now...Then i'll personally kill your father, So...What do you think?, Will you apply?"

Lucas sits there, letting the threat fill his cold body

"NURSE!...NURSE!"

Lucas suddenly yells in a burst, Bradley places his hand over Lucas' mouth

"If that's your choice...then live with the results"

Bradley releases Lucas and stands up. He grabs the bottle of pills the doctor gave Lucas, Rips the sticker off and puts the bottle in his pocket. He pulls another bottle out and places the sticker on it

"Happy Birthday"

Bradley's cold voice said, Leaving the room

Lucas and Joseph(Lucas' father) walk into their home. His father puts the bags down. and closes the door behind Lucas

"Take a seat on the couch and rest"

Lucas looks around, noticing all the green in the house

"How about some ice cream?"

From outside a black van pulls up, Lucas slowly takes a seat on the couch

"Please"

Lucas said, The father opens the freezer and takes the ice cream out. He pulls the top off and grabs a spoon and a bowl. She scoops some out

"How you feeling?"

"Dizzy mainly but i'll be okay"

"Doc said your blindness should go away within the year so be patient okay son"

"I will"

Joseph's father picks up the bowl when the door is blasted open. Men in all black suits rush in with guns. Joseph's father drops the bowl, It smashes against the ground

"He has a gun"

"Shoot"

They all spoke, The man in front let 3 shots out, all 3 hit Lucas' father

"DAD!"

Lucas stands up and tries rushing to the kitchen, all he sees is the darkness, he trips and stumbles, smacking against the floor

"Get the kid!"

The man who shot the father cleans his gun off with a cloth and walks up to Lucas as two other men hold him down. He grabs Lucas' hand and forces him to grip the gun getting Lucas' fingerprints on the gun. The man drops the gun on the floor and the men exit the house. Lucas crawls up to his father

"Dad...Dad! please...DAD!"

footsteps are heard walking in, heavy boots cause the sound traveled through the whole house

"This is the choice you've made"

The footsteps take a second and walk out, Lucas lets the tears roll down his face as he hugs his father's dead body

"Its that place that makes you crazy"

Layla wipes the tears from her face

"That's why you're so disconnected from your emotions. You spent 4 years holding those tears and anger back and now it's all coming out"

Lucas lets the left edge of his mouth curl into a smile

"I guess"

Layla runs to Lucas and hugs him

"I'm sorry"

Lucas says, Layla starts crying, sadden by his life

"Layla, There wasn't a day I stopped loving you"

Lucas kisses her head, Rafen walks into the room with a smile

"Lucas...Without paying me attention...You are aware what you've done"

Lucas stares forward, confused. Rafen spoke from behind him, He is at the point of laughing

"Learning my ability didn't give you control of it...it gave me control over you"

Lucas' eyes widen

"Kill her"

Lucas' eyes turn all black

By the way, Sorry for the avatar mistake. My niece tried connecting to facebook and it changed my avatar but i'm back in business.

Anyway

The Trinity Season 4 will be a 13 or more episode series. I still have some more light to shed on with the characters so i consider that good news

In other news, Angels or Demons has had a major plot development. Including a villain, Evil Corporation as well as well as love interests. If your interested then give me your character's name that's all

No Rest For The Wicked is currently on hold but ever time i get a chance i write more to it so the story continues as time goes by.

As some of you might know i'm a big DC/AC comics fan. I mean i like some marvel comics (The Runaways) but anyway. I'm reading Blackest Night. I've read all of july's blackest nights and now i'm on august. It's really good i highly suggest it as well as The Runaways

"WAKE UP SLEEPY!"

Rafen yelled at Lucas who was laying fully clothed on his couch, He sits his head up and looks around with his squinted eyes. He opens them and looks at Rafen

"You're cheery...What's up?"

"Get up!"

Lucas sits up and stretches wearing his costume still

"Wait before you start getting me up at..."

Lucas looks at the clock on the table next to the lamp, It reads 6:30 AM. Lucas looks at Rafen

"6:30! ... anyway where have you been? You disappeared"

Rafen rolls his eyes

"When did you become my father?"

"If i was your father i'd smack you across your head"

Rafen sarcastically smiles

"That's cute, You need to get up"

"Why what's going on?"

Rafen smiles, a true wicked smile

"It's time to start your training"

--Meanwhile--

Jason is laying on his large white bed with the blanket covering his body, his arms behind his head as he stares at the ceiling

"Knock knock"

Jason is a bit startled, he looks over at the door and Layla is at the door way wearing nothing but a button up shirt and boxer. She looking really sexy

"Layla? Why are you up?"

Jason sits up and throws the blankets off him

"I can't sleep"

"Same"

Jason says with a smile, Layla walks in and takes a seat next to Jason

"I've been thinking...About us"

Jason blushes but it's hard to see

"Really?"

"Yes and...this may be sudden but...when the sun rises i'm going to take my things and leave. I think it be best that we break this 'tease' we've been having"

Jason's face is caught off guard, almost like he's heartbroken

"What? Why? I don't understand"

"I know your feelings for me are strong but...i just can't be in a relationship right now and every time i see you...i feel sad that i drag you through hell, So i think we should just..."

Jason leans out and kisses Layla, Layla's hand gets hot, it starts turning red, She pushes away and smacks him across the face. Jason holds his face, She quickly stands

"I tell you i'm tired of this silly game we're playing and you thought i'd be willing to kiss you?"

"I'm sorry"

"You're right...You are sorry"

Layla leaves, slamming the door behind her

-That Afternoon-

Lucas yawns wearing a muscle shirt and jean shorts

"Lucas, There are many things about you i'm sure you don't even know about yourself"

Rafen stood respectfully in front of Lucas

"I'll bite, What?"

"For starters, Your blindness gave you the ability of Synesthesia"

Lucas raised his right eyebrow

"What?"

"What you thought seeing green is normal?"

"Okay how do you know this?"

"I have access to your memories and i gotta say...it's a real sob fest"

"Okay, We're done"

Lucas walks off

"If you stop i'll teach you how to use my ability?"

Lucas turns around, Rafen smiles

"I have your ability?"

"We're connected now, Like I was with Johnny before he decided to end my life"

"To save mine"

"Tamato, Tomato. You wanna learn?"

Lucas smiles as thunder cracks through the sky then it begins to rain

"Your ability is considered evil, I would be control people's inner darkness for what? It would be no help to me"

Lucas explain, Rafen crosses his arm

"So selfish when it comes to help, Why do you believe i'm still wicked when i've done nothing but help you. Learning my ability would only help you understand your own. Lucas, I don't open up to people but when my mother passed away, my ability activated. My powers aren't to control darkness but something much greater"

"Is that fiction or truth?"

Lucas asked

"Lucas, You are my brother now. Johnny lost that right and I know you've committed to me but...i tell no fiction, only truth"

"You're a Gods fearing man?"

Rafen smiles

"My mother was..she died before i was old enough to go to church"

"Eli Chapter 11, Verse 12 reads ''Trust not the wicked man and have good faith in him but keep mindful of the sins he's commited'' You almost killed me and i'm not letting that down but i trust you enough to train me to...train this visions i've had"

"Are you saying you'll accept what i teach you?"

Lucas nods, Rafen sighs with relief

"Rafen, I believe you've turn a new leaf, don't let me down"

Rafen nods

--That Night--

Jonathan touches the wall and spike like steps up the large stone wall are created, Nick and Alex run up and lean against the wall wearing all black but they were covered in rain

"Luke's ability nice"

Alex says

"How long can you access other abilities?"

Nick asked

"When we first met it was short almost for 2 minutes but now...I've strengthened it and made it stronger so...i'm not sure i've have found out"

"Can you take Lucas' visions?"

"No, I've tried but...it weird, it's like it's blocking me out"

"Ladies, Remember why we're here? North Newt Prison isn't easy to break in"

Brenden runs up and leans against the wall, he holds something large on his shoulder

"Is it ready?"

Brenden nods

"Yeah, We have about 4 hours"

"Then let's do this"

Jonathan walks up the steps and slightly peeks over the wall, The prison yard is empty but two guard guard each corner of the large stone wall. Jonathan raises 4 fingers

"Corners"

He whispers

"We must time these perfectly"

The team nods, Jonathan takes a second and jumps down, He runs toward the prison that rested dead center of the field. Jonathan holds a dim lit flashlight and aims it at Alex who waited. Alex jumps and runs over. Nick jumps in at a bad time and looks over at the guard, Alex sighs and holds his palm out toward the guard who thinks he sees someone. Alex's eyes turn pure white

"It's just a bug"

The guard shrugs and looks away, Nick runs over

"Sorry"

"You owe me"

Brenden jumped in with the large black bag inside something else. He ran over

"Ready?"

Jonathan asked, Jonathan touched the wall behind him of the prison, He uses Layla's ability to metal the stone inside the building creating a hole. They run in, Jonathan touches the hole, a large spike fulls it perfectly. Jonathan turns around and faces the main prison block.

"Which?"

Nick pulls out a rolled blue sheet of paper from his pocket, it's damp so it's easily torn from Nick pulling it out. Jonathan sighs

"Stay here.."

Jonathan pulls his mask down, he takes a deep breath as he looks like a terrible costume hero. The cell block is darkened. Jonathan runs toward the staircase, fully aware of the 3 guards talking in the corner then 2 guards on the top row. He stops once the shadow on the floor come to an end, He jumps and lands on the stairs, he silently crawls up the stairs. He rolls into the shadows and runs along them. some prisoners see a flash of darkness but Jonathan ignores it when a guard turns the corner. Jonathan leans against the wall with his hands up against the wall, The guard walks and stops right where Jonathan's at. Jonathan holds his breath back then the guard continues walking. Jonathan runs off and stops at Cell Block 23. He looks inside and resting his hand in his face is Jake Harvey

"Jakey, Ready to bust out"

Jake looks up, Jake has long hair past his ears and face is struck with sadness even though he's shocked. He gets up and walks to the bars

"Jonathan?"

Jonathan removes the mask like Anime S-tyle The mask hits the floor dramatically. Jake smiles

"What are you doing?"

"Busting you out!"

Jonathan touches the bars and they melt, Jake steps across them

"Nice"

"Layla's ability?"

"crushed the material inside the metal, stone which is earth and i just add heat to it. We're escaping"

"How? They'll know i'm gone and we're all in trouble"

"Not actually"

Jonathan smacked the floor, Suddenly on the bottom floor a hole in front of Brenden opened up. Brenden dumped what he held inside, The hold closed and reopened in front of Jonathan. Jonathan reaches and pulls the object out

"Mr. Harvey, Can you identify this man?"

Jonathan unzips the bag and inside is a clone of Jake, Jake's eyes widen with shock
