Rapper Snoop Doggy Dogg got that name from his mother who jokingly remarked that he looked like the Peanuts character, Snoopy. Dogg is primarily known for his achievements in the music industry, within the genre of gangsta rap, to be specific. As most successful musicians seem to do at some point, Snoop Doggy Dogg has done some work in film. Due to the nature of his music and his related star persona, the primary focus of his film effort has been in urban drama and comedy. Unfortunately, the talented rapper has had more than one brush with the law. He served a drug conviction prior to the start of his rapping career (just after he graduated from high school) and he was charged for murder in 1993, but was later found not guilty.

Calvin Broadus, 20 October 1972, Long Beach, California, USA. Snoop Doggy Dogg's commercial rise in 1993 was acutely timed, riding a surge in hardcore rap's popularity, and smashing previous records in any genre. Doggystyle was the most eagerly anticipated album in rap history, and the first debut album to enter the Billboard chart at number 1. With advance orders of over one and a half million, media speculators were predicting its importance long before a release date. As was de rigueur for gangsta rappers, Broadus' criminal past cast a long, somewhat romanticized shadow over his achievements. He was busted for drugs after leaving high school in Long Beach, and spent three years in and out of jail. He first appeared in 1991 when helping out Dr. Dre on a track called "Deep Cover", from the movie of the same title. Dogg was also ubiquitous on Dr. Dre's 1992 breakthrough, The Chronic, particularly on the hit single "Nuthin" But A "G' Thang", which he wrote and on which he co-rapped. After presenting a gong to En Vogue in September 1993 at the MTV video awards, Dogg surrendered himself to police custody after the show, on murder charges. This was over his alleged involvement in a driveby shooting. Inevitably, as news spread of Dogg's involvement, interest in his vinyl product accelerated, and this played no small part in the eventual sales of his debut album.
Critics noted how closely Doggystyle was modelled on George Clinton's Atomic Dog project. Many also attacked the abusive imagery of women Dogg employed, particularly on the lurid "Ain't No Fun". His justification: "I'm not prejudiced in my rap, I just kick the rhymes". If the US press were hostile to him they were no match for the sensationalism of the English tabloids. During touring commitments to support the album and single, "Gin And Juice", he made the front page of the Daily Star with the headline: "Kick This Evil Bastard Out!". It was vaguely reminiscent of the spleen vented at the Sex Pistols in their heyday, and doubtless a good sign. He was asked to leave his hotel in Milestone, Kensington on arrival. A more serious impediment to his career was the trial on charges of accessory to the murder of Phillip Woldermariam, shot by his bodyguard McKinley Lee. The trial was underway in November 1995 and attracted a great deal of media attention, due in part to Dogg's defence attorney being Johnnie Cochran, O.J. Simpson's successful defender. During the trial the rapper's bail was set at $1 million. The verdict on 20 February 1996 acquitted Dogg and McKinley Lee of both murder charges and the manslaughter cases were dropped in April. The trial had not overtly damaged his record sales, with his debut topping seven million copies worldwide, and the follow-up Tha Doggfather entering the US album chart at number 1, although it ultimately failed to match the commercial success of Doggystyle.

A subsequent falling out with the ailing Death Row Records saw Dogg transferring to Master P's highly successful gangsta label, No Limit Records. Now known as Snoop Dogg, he released Da Game Is To Be Sold, Not To Be Told in August 1998. Repeating the success of his first two albums, it debuted at US number 1. "Still A G Thang" climbed to number 19 the following month. Snoop Dogg released another new set, No Limit Top Dogg, in May 1999, although he was held off the top of the charts this time by Latino heart throb Ricky Martin. The following year Snoop tried on the role of corporate mentor for size, adding guest raps and acting as executive producer on the debut album by his prot?g?s Tha Eastsidaz. In December he released Tha Last Meal, his final album for No Limit.

Green Day started in 1990, releasing their first album "1039 Smoothed Out Slappy Hours" with band members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and John Kiffmeyer. Before the release of 1039 SOSH Green Day went by the name of Sweet Children, which was formed by band members above, playing a punk/rock sound. In 1991 Green Day released their second album, "Kerplunk," and gained modern day band member, Tré Cool or Frank Edward Wright III, as band drummer and therefore lost John Kiffmeyer as he returned to university. Almost three years later Green Day released, "Dookie" which sold a total of 12 million copies worldwide and 8million US. With the Videos Basketcase, Longview, Welcome to Paradise and When I Come Around, Green Day gained fame and became more than they ever could have dreamed of.

After unleashing their fourth album ,"Insomniac," which did not do as well as "Dookie," Green Day toured for a year, only to cut it short as Billie Joe had family issues at home: Billie Joe's wife was having a their first son, Joey. But since the band had to cut it short, they gave something back to the fans, a brand new album by the name of "Nimrod". To this day "Nimrod" is said to be the greatest album released by Green Day and one of their biggest career boosts since they formed. It is known as a slightly more mature GreenDay album. After winning countless awards for their hit song "Time of Your Life" (still a popular song at graduations) and Australian TV publicity, such as Recovery TV and RAGE, Green Day went back to America to write songs for there 6th album, "Warning".

After "Warning's" release, which wasn't as successful as Green Day members had hoped, Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool decided to release, in 2001, a "Best of" CD with Green Day's biggest hit songs, called "International Superhits!" As this CD was a huge success, and the band soon realeased a CD full of B-Side" songs, called "Shenanigans". As a total in their career, Green Day released a total of 8 albums and innumerable singles, soundtracks, EP's and compilations.

In 2004, Green Day released the album "American Idiot", which was their most popular album to date. They topped the charts, won Best Rock Album of the Year at the Grammy's for the first time since Dookie and gained a true place in the Punk Rock Hall of Fame. American Idiot is a "Punk Rock Opera" tracking the story of Jesus of Suburbia, who later warps in a character by the name of St. Jimmy in a haze of drugs and loneliness out on the streets. This album would not have been possible had it not been for a big accident... Green Day had recorded a completely different album, but, upon it's completion, the masters were stolen. This left the boys with a huge decision: re-record or start over with a clean slate, and the clean slate proved to be the beginning of a legend.

Katt Williams was born September 2nd in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was raised in Dayton, and when he left home, he voyaged from place to place in order to make a living for himself. Because he was such an intelligent child, he became very inventive in his methods to support himself. This included selling magazines door to door, and pretending to be a comedian at a Florida night club, even though he was under age.

The audience was extremely responsive to his natural talent, and he then realized that it was a possibility to make a living performing stand-up comedy. In 1995, Katt became a father and his life then changed forever. “Having no legal skills and having an aversion to manual labor, my options weren’t that great. I was a single father and I had constant motivation”.

He and his son traveled to a variety of places in order to perform comedy for small amounts of money. Needless to say, this was extremely difficult for a single parent. He has since adopted children, which has also been a source of tireless motivation. Katt Williams began to perform in “White rooms” all across the country.

Although his reputation grew, he had not yet achieved his goals in the comedy realm. In 1999, Katt moved to Los Angeles, California, and within a year and a half, became a respected presence in the local comedy clubs. Performing at places like the Laugh Factory, The Improv, The Comedy Store, and The Icehouse, allowed him to host his own comedy room at the Hollywood Park Casino.

In the summer of 2001, he was awarded Cedric the Entertainer’s Anheiser-Busch “Best Los Angeles Comic’s Award. In October of 2001, Katt went on his first theatrical audition at New Line Cinema for Friday After Next, and landed the role of “Money Mike“, which has contributed to a large portion of his fan base.

Nicholas Sheen Cannon was born on October 8, 1979) is an American actor, rapper and comedian. Cannon was born in San Diego, California to James Cannon and Beth Hackett. He attended Advocado Elementry School in Spring Valley California, Quail Hollow Middle School in Charlotte, North Carolina and Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley, California. He began performing at the age of eight, and later formed the rap duo"Da Bomb Squad" with his best friend. Together they opened for the likes of Will Smith, LFO, 98 Degrees, and Montell Jordan. The song is meant as a thank you to his mother for sparing him from an abortion, and as a message to all women facing this difficult decision. His mother makes a cameo appearance at the end as he speaks:

“ It's uplifting, for real y'all. I ain't passing no judgment. Ain't making no decisions. I am just telling y'all my story. I love life. I love my mother for giving me life. We all need to appreciate life. A strong woman that had to make a sacrifice. Thanks for listening. Thanks for listening. Mama, thanks for listening... ” The song's chorus is Nick and a group of children singing, "Can I live, Can I live." The words are supposed to be from the unborn babies to their mothers.

Cannon is the producer and host of MTV's improv comedy show Wild 'N Out which debuted in 2005, and features actors such as Katt Williams. The show has been a huge success and ranks among the top shows on cable in ratings. He also released his first single, "Can I Live," featuring Anthony Hamilton, from Cannon's upcoming album, Stages, the same year. He once dated singer / actress Christina Milian. At one point, he was rumored to be dating Lindsay Lohan.

Wild 'N Out returned for its third season on August 10, 2006 and ended October 5 of that year. A new sketch comedy show created by Cannon, called Short Circuitz debuted on April 5, 2007.

Paulo Costanzo born on September 21, 1978 in Brampton, Ontario is a Canadian actor of Italian and Jewish ancestry, who is perhaps best-known for his roles in the 2000 comedy Road Trip, was in many other movies and in the sitcom Joey which ran from 2004-2006. In addition to various television productions, Costanzo has also performed on stage in Canadian productions of Bogeyman and The Good Doctor. Costanzo is currently living in Los Angeles. A voluptuous blonde actress who has made a career of playing bimbos despite her more experimental comedy background, Massachusetts native Jennifer Coolidge took her Emerson College degree to New York City and joined the Gotham City Improv group before heading to Los Angeles where she became a long-running member of the famed Groundlings. Discovered in the early 1990s, she was cast in her first television series guest role on NBC's "Seinfeld", playing a masseuse who won't offer her professional services to boyfriend Jerry in a 1993 episode. The following year she was a featured regular on the short-lived sketch series "She TV" on ABC. Another short-lived sketch comedy series "Saturday Night Special" (Fox) featured Coolidge as writer and cast member, though this would-be "Saturday Night Live" (NBC) competitor that began airing in mid-April didn't make it through May.

Having appeared in the Showtime-aired Roger Corman horror presentations "Not of This Earth" and "Bucket of Blood" in 1995, Coolidge made her big-screen debut in the inane courtroom comedy "Trial and Error", co-starring "Seinfeld"'s Michael Richards. Equally believable as a pampered princess or a frumpy manicurist, Coolidge began increasing her film appearances, with several character parts in 1998, including roles in the children's comedy "Slappy and the Stinkers" and a cameo as a sexy traffic cop in "A Night at the Roxbury". Recreating that character with a larger part in the 2001 sequel wasn't the only time Coolidge would play drunk and sultry. "Down to Earth", the 2001 remake of "Heaven Can Wait" co-starred the actress as the scheming wife of an elderly mogul, a golddigging type she previously visited as a wealthy dog owner more enamored with the trainer than her husband in the improv-based comedy "Best in Show" (2000). As Betty, a mostly silent hairstylist in the warm "The Broken Hearts Club: A Romantic Comedy" (2000), Coolidge heard the confessions and life lessons of a group of gay friends, and as down-on-her luck but good-natured manicurist Paulette in "Legally Blonde", she was the confidante of Elle (Reese Witherspoon), a walking Malibu Barbie-cum-Harvard Law student who boosted her friend's confidence and helped her get back on track.

With roles that showcased the actress' no-holds-barred approach to comedy and her obvious vanity-free comfort with altering both her appearance and manner to be unappealing, Coolidge emerged as a valuable character player and gifted comedienne. Working steadily, she had a brief cameo in the fashion espionage spoof "Zoolander" (2001) and was featured in the police parody "Showtime" (lensed 2001) as well as co-starred in the Showtime-aired romantic comedy "Oooph!" Before her acting career took off, the avid Black Sabbath devotee tattered, studded and laced vintage rock and roll T-shirts to sell in her boyfriend's store. Still a bona fide rock and roll chick, Drea (pronounced "Dray") has her leather clothes custom-made by girlfriend AGAFA, who also creates clothes for Steven Tyler and Joan Jett.
