Recently, by many a forumite here on the System Wars forum, it has become very noticable to see the badge of the OFJC, once again beign taken up by a new generation of SW veterans. To those of the you who know, or did know of this small band of loyal SW posters. The main goal behind the OFJC is too find a certain balance bewteen the purely obnoxious topics and those that contain some sort sembelance of coherence, actual videogame subject matter!
But it shouldn't come has any surprise to people that post in SW, that since the formation and now first "Flop" notification from the OFJC, there has been a sort of, backlash. For reasons unknown, and potential "fakeboys", the non-flop notifaction of Oddworld's Stranger's Wrath on Xbox from the OFJC, has fallen under the hypocratic tongues of those that feel a structured "committee" (I use the term committee loosely) isn't needed or is somehow illadvised, considering System Wars in it's own sacred way, was there own place to be heard and that was all to the matter of what SW is.
Well incase some of the newer SW posters are reading this, it's important for you to know, has well has us vets know. System Wars is a community that's open to any formation of groups that feel they're opinions and statements on videogames are valid, just has much has anyone else's is on the forum. But that our opinions in the bases of many might render more respect from some other frequent poster in SW, it's important to know that were not completly obilvious to the fact that we can be wrong and claim ownage sometimes were it's not nessicerly due. We conduct the OFJC has a service to the community on System Wars, a committee formed to weed out less important spam and illogical claims of flamebait, and give the posters at SW a more content heavy topic that actually invokes a much more thourgh thought process, in most cases.
It's my invation to all SW posters to become a OFJC Collaborator, if your not already a member. We respect the rights of the poster on SW, but topic starters on this board should know. The rules of engaugement on SW is purely oppurnistic in nature. So be fair warned, we have just has much a right to remain a entity here has a fun loosely formed committee, has if you created one yourself and passed along your opinions on videogames as a group. Take the Massive Attack to the System Wars fakeboys and flamebaiters. Have fun, until next time..
