I know everyone is blogging about this but I might as well too! Plus it's been a long time since I've been active with the whole blogging effort. As some of you may know, I work at Sears in the evening which simply gives me an extended work day. Everyone seemed to be closing in on the rumor of a price drop for the Playstation 3. But I wasn't really keeping up with the system wars side of things.
The day before the official announcement of the PS3. I was checking the prices on the home consoles we had available in store. You can also check alerts, and price changes. Immediately it hit me; I SAW IT. A PS3 for $299 was coming up in the system. It had to be true; and of course it is now.
I know everyone is excited especially those who haven't purchased one. I on the bad, Fantasy_Gamer just did a couple of weeks prior to the announcement! In other news; I'm assuming a web designer was fired from Best Buy most recently. He or she accidentally posted a 52 HDTV in advertisement for $9.99. The electronic retail store said they would not honor. Then again there have been a few customers who were able to get away with it in-store. Funny!
Anyway. What have I've been up too? Nothing much besides work. I did get Netflix and I love it especially streaming live video to Xbox Live. I just download Shadow Complex from the Xbox Live Marketplace, and that game is fun! It reminds me of Blackthorne, Castlevania, and Metroid all rolled into one with it's own unique characteristics. It's very hard to put down as well. Sadly Little King's Story has been left out of my game collection, and I must settle for NHL 10 next month.

I was holding off to see if they would give a price cut... was going to wait until FFXIII came out if they didnt. But now I get to have one next month woohoo!
@pikastar: I can't wait for Final Fantasy XIII and XIV to come out alone. Not mention Heavy Rain, and even White Knight Chronicles!
Affordability within my reach! SCORE! And that's too bad about Little King's Story; I've heard some good things about it. Of course, I don't have it either so...
Bah! Don't feel bad for me. My ceramic white PS3 is 1 month and 2 weeks old now and I love it. I don't feel cheated for not waiting for the cheaper, more high-end PS3 Slim.Perosnally, I still prefer the original design. My PS3 is in the center of my home theater. If it is small and slim, it won't become a center of attention in my sala. I'm also not a fan of slim version of Sony consoles (PS One, PS2 Slim), except for PSP-2000.
On the other hand, I like the fact that PS3 slim consumes less energy, has a big 120 HDD and is cheaper... That's gonna help expand the user-base of Sony's console.... That means more users to play with @ PSN!
Nevertheless... I'm still happy I got my current PS3... The new version no longer has the shiny coat of the fat version... and PS3 slim has no cermaic white version--that's what made me choose my PS3.
