we all know that runescape is a great gaming experience. however, the game does need some improvements.

here is a list of what i think that runescape needs:

-dual-weildable weapons. imagine rushing headlong into battle weilding 2 rune scimitars, rune longswords, or rune short swords. it would be a great improvement and would add alot of fun to the game.

-horseback riding/mounts. for those who disagree with me listen to this: you need to get from one end of the game world to the other, yet you do not have enough runes to teleport and you do not want to walk all the way. what do you do? the answer is simple: grab a horse and ride to your hearts desire. this would also add a great deal of realism to the game as well as the thrill of fighting on horseback.

-weapon sheaths. another way to add realism is to include weapon sheaths (to those who dont know its a holster for for swords). think about it, in real life if you didnt want to carry around a swordin your hands you would just misteriously make it dissapear, you would put it in a sheath. what would be really cool is that it could be an accessory (like necklaces or rings). also there would be several varieties or sheaths. there would be the classic hip-sheath or there could be the much cooler (in my opinion) back/shoulder sheath (for swords). if you use ranged attacks the bow would become strapped to your back when you are not using it (IE it is in your inventory). basically what im trying to say is if you have a weapon but it is in your inventory, it would appear on your character in the form of a sheath/holster. the same could go with shields (have them also strapped to your back or your sides)

-another magic system. i know that alot of ppl think that runes are efficient. however, i do not. to me, magic is the most annoying skill because of the rune system. please imagine my frusteration: say you spend 2 hours runecrafting trying to make runes for magic combat. now after all your hard work or mining for rune ess. and runecrafting, you run into a minor enemie that could easily be dispatched using melle combat. you decide to use your magic on him, however theres a problem, your spells have almost no effect on the enemy, and by the time he is dead you are almost completely drained of runes! the system i am suggesting is very similar to the magic system found in other rpg games such as final fantasy and WoW. instead of wasting so much time making runes and using them up so quickly, when you cast a spell it would take a few points away from your magic meter. to replenish magic simply drink a potion or wait for it to slowly recharge. this is the wa the magic system should have been in the first place.

-more realistic actions such as sitting in chairs/beds and sleeping in beds. in all towns of this game there are chairs, benches, and beds everywhere, yet for some unkown reason, we cant sit down. imagine in real life, you are tired of walking and you see a chair, yet some unkown force keeps you from sitting down, that would be awkward. also what would be cool is sleeping in beds. if you have just exited combat and have no health left, wouldnt it be nice to sleep and slowly recharge your health? seriously, whats the point of having inns/hotels in this game if you cant sleep in them.

-day and night cycles. this would be cool. first off think about this: it is 10:00 PM in real time yet in the game it is still daytime! it would add another touch of realism to the game to have day and night cycles. every hour or so it would change from day to night. either this or it could be in real time. at night the screen gets darker, house/street lights turn on and certain shops close and there are less npcs. also new enemies would apear elsewere (like in forests for example, packs of wolves would apear or if in a cemetary zombies would rise from the grave).

-f2p houses and the ability to choose which town you want to live in. look at how many non-members play this game. they all dont have houses. do you really think all those people would be homeless if this game was real? there is no country, fictional or real, that has that big of a homeless problem. heres another thing, each town could have a different home. in each town there should be a suburban area with a house-portal in the center. if your house is in that town you can enter, however if your hous is not in that town it would let you enter the portal. once againwe'll compare this to real-life. say that every house in the world was connected to one portal. now does that sound unrealistic or what? now say your house was in varrock, but instead of going directly to varrock and your home you must go to a portal in another town halfway across the map. now does that sound annoying or what? what should be done is have a portal placed in each town so you dont have to waste time getting to your house.

-in-game holidays/festivals. in this game there should be monthly ingame made-up holidays as well as real ones. what would also be cool is if at these holidays there is some type of festival (like a parade, a carnival, or an annual dance). ideas for made-up holidays could include the date that runescape was first created, andrew gowers birthday, and so on.

-the ability to choose whether or not you want to partake in a random event. imagine, you are mining gold when suddenly that stupid evil cat comes along. so then you have to waste 20 min. of your time doing some stupid mini-game for a dumb. reward. also on certain events if you ignore a random event (like the drunkendwarf for example) the game hasthe audacity to punish you! needless to say this should be fixed.

these are a few of the many ideas i think runescape should include. if you are reading this i invite you to comment respectfully. remember im a human being not some machine without emmotions so please be respectfull. thank you
