Launch in 3...2...1 Blast-off!
Although many eager fans camped outside of 360 retailers, I found myself not among them. Boasting impressive hardware, games, and a new and revamped Live system, it claims to be the original's dominant successor. I find that to be both true and false.
On the plus side, it does have a new and improved Live service, which was one of my main interests, but the games taking advantage of this were limited, in my perspective, pretty much Perfect Dark: Zero, a new sci-fi shooter, albeit very well done. Plus, the graphics presented in most games were nearly eye-poppingly gorgeous, rather than moderately improved, as seen in a King-Kong demo.
As the silver lining fades away, I saw the downsides of this new console. At an earlier glance, I was extremely excited with the early titles, supposedly including Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, Gears of War, etc. Most of which have been moved back to next year or later. My interest has suffered a similar fate; it is still present, just hibernating until an upcoming time.
Overall, X-Box 360 is much more complex than one might think, simply labeling it as the next X-Box. With its two package options (although I think we all know which one to get), new Live, and interesting launch line-up the X-Box 360 has become a player's own call. And mine is to wait for now.

I can't think of anything to comment on the blog. But nice pic of JEFF GERSTMAN! with a thing on his head. I see you also passed the indomitable level seven. BTW, the opening line of the GUN review is pretty funny.
