It's the last day of my holidays, tomorrow starts my training again, so I took the opportunity to write a new blog to give you (hopefully) some good laughs.
And I want to thank Mary for the beautiful blinky she sent me a few days ago. Now I have my own "Nacht"-sticker for my blog, how cool is that?.

A side note for all Rome fans: Tessa informed me that the waiting is over, on January 14 Rome will continue with its second season. I love this show, and I'm so glad they didn't cancel it (which wouldn't have surprised me at all, considering that it's one of my favourite series and thus doomed to get the hammer). If you have the chance, give it a try.
And the best news of all (in case you haven't heard it yet): BB finally woke up!

A few stupid (or not so stupid) sayings I came across recently:

Hey Nacht! Good luck with the training. Thanks for such a fun blog! And that is wonderful news about BB!

Freedom, um I think it's a state of mind, unfortunately most of us are slave to something, like paying taxes.
I love ROME and can't wait! What a cliff hanger wonder what Vorenus will do without Niobe; so what do you think Atia will be up to this season! She's so wicked
And the Romans rule again!
Posted Jan 7, 2007 9:37 am PT
Ahaha! You've made me laugh and that's good because tomorrow is Monday and as a song says, I don't like Mondays! We have to set up our alarm clocks, I hope to forget mine
One week left! I'm longing to see Rome again and I hope that Atia will be sooner left by everyone, Marc Antony and his son. I really hate her!
Thanks for sharing these funny pics and your blog is so cool!

dju: I know.
Jo: Thanks.
2 weeks? Tell me more about it.
I wish you much fun, anyway!
Ramona: You and Jo are too funny, no really! How very kind of you to remind me how much fun it was to be a student! Enjoy it as long as it lasts.
Greta: I did, Greta.
I met with a friend and watched some old shows I hadn't seen for ages. All in all a very lazy day, you could say.
Opal: Thanks, Opal, glad you like it.
April: I knew you love it.
I think you and Tessa are the only people I met here who know the show, but I hope this will change after the next season (which will unfortunately be the last one, as far as I'm informed). I guess Atia will be up to a lot (as usual), and I hope she gets some serious butt-kicking from Servilia.
As for Vorenus, I suppose Pullo will be there for him (also as usual).
Did you see the pic on HBO's rome site? "Mark Antony is a coward!"
There's also a preview, but I didn't watch it, because I don't want to get spoiled.
And yes, Romans rule! (Especially here with their nice British accent. Haha, Greta, I couldn't resist.
)
Tessa: Thanks.
I hate Mondays too, always have, ever will.
I know what you mean. I can hardly wait for the continuation too. Who doesn't hate Atila?
Jo: Thanks.

I like that "Everybody is somebody else's weirdo" line. I've never heard that one before.
I hope the training isn't too boring. I save a lot of pictures on my hard drive too. Hopefully I'll be motivated to post a few more museum/tourist photos soon.

Hi home! That's my fav line too, and it's so true.
I too hope you are motivated enough to post them. I like your 'educational blogs' (but I also know that it's a great deal of work to write them, so take your time).

Hi, the blinkie is good
Nachtie: Edinburgh would be fantastic too (you wouldn't have a problem to come to Scotland?
It's always good, but perhaps best of all in August, when the Edinburgh Festival is on... or, rather, the Edinburgh festivals. For those who like the English and/or the Scots, quite a choice of both is on hand.

Greta: It's my lunch break now, and I must say it isn't as bad as I thought it would be (the course, not the break, of course
). Our new teacher for the next weeks is very nice, and he allowed me to work on my own stuff during his course, since I know most of the course topics already. He even suggested I could stay at home if I like. How cool is that?
Ethan: You know how much I like the Brits and Scots
, so no argument from me on this.
Ramona: Yes, we are.

Hope your first day back went well (it appears to have). It's weird with you being almost 12 hours ahead of me. You are speaking from my future. Spooky!!

Nacht: sounds like your course was better than mine...that guy is so annoying, I swear 90 minutes with him feel like a week...but thank god that's just once a week...
Posted Jan 8, 2007 7:54 am PT
I figured you meant the course.
Your new teacher sounds cool, I bet you'll take him us on that offer. I'm on my lunch break now. They've been talking about some special projects that I may be doing or atleast helping on. Hopefully that will mean overtime.
I hope the rest of you day went good.
Posted Jan 8, 2007 9:28 am PT
Suz: The day wasn't particularly exciting, but not bad either, thanks. Hope yours was okay, too.
Haha, need a fortune teller?
Ramona: Haha, that's what you get for bragging about your short winter term on my blog.
Greta: He is cool. We even have longer breaks than usual.
I think I'd better not stay at home, I would probably spend all the time here instead of learning.
Special project sounds good, I keep my fingers crossed.
Hopefully that will mean overtime?? You really must love your new job.
Or are you just trying to save enough money to visit us?

Greta: Ha ha, of course I meant the course...yuck!
That guy is just horrible.
Nacht: You'll see...that is one out of two courses I really hate and when it comes to friday I'll tell you about three courses in one day that I just love!

I'm seem to be seeing different review of you teacher from you and Ramona.
I'm glad to hear that he is cool.
Your probably right you would be here instead of doing your work so I guess you better go to your training.
I do love my job and I want to save money to visit everyone.
You're hopefully sleeping right now so you may not know this BB spoke to Carlos today.
I was so happy when I read that I cried. As much as I'd like to come visit you she is on the top of my visit list.

That is wonderful news, Greta! Thanks for letting me know, I had so much trouble with this site tonight, I hadn't had the chance to read all the blogs.
I hope you earn enough money to visit all 7 continents.
And in case you hadn't noticed, I'm still awake
(but I really should go to bed now.

Have a good night!

I'm not sure about visiting Antarctica but I'd like to see the other ones.
Go to sleep you crazy woman.

Oh, but I've never been to Antarctica and I'd love to go. In all the pictures I've seen it's gorgeous, amazing light and colours. No polar bears there, but lots of penguins, life and drama. We shall just need a few woolly jumpers... brrrr!
Posted Jan 8, 2007 6:36 pm PT
Greta: Haha, I actually was going to write "6 continents" (I figured you wouldn't be too keen on traveling to Antarctica), but it looked wrong somehow.
I guess it's the geographer in me.
Have a great day too!
Ethan: Are you serious? Do you have any idea how cold it is there?
I prefer to watch the penguins on tv, wrapped up in my blanket.

That's ok I understand, I would have said something like 'there are seven continents you know'.
Antarctica may look pretty but I like to be warm, so I'm with Nacht I'll watch them on TV. Or go to the New England Aquarium and see them there.

I thought you would. That's one of the reasons why I wrote 7.
Hope your day isn't as boring as mine was. At least I'm at home now, but so is my friend, so the battle over the pc will start every minute.

Where did you go Nacht?
I haven't seen any posts from you since my lunch break. I hope you weren't having trouble getting on like Elin was.
Posted Jan 9, 2007 6:08 pm PT
I'm so sorry, Greta, I lost the battle over the pc yesterday. My friend and his online game buddies had a big contest going on and I had no opportunity to get on the pc. When he'd finally finished the game tv.com wouldn't let me log in.
Same thing this morning, I got one timeout after the other.
Luckily I was clever enough to make my submissions in my lunch break yesterday.
I've a lot work to do at the moment, but I try to log in again later this day. Hope to speak to you later.

I hope today is going better for you.

Ethan: Agreed.
We do have three pcs, but one always crashes at the most inappropriate times and the second one is my working notebook, and I don't dare to connect it to the internet, so this leaves us with only one internet pc (which unfortunately isn't even mine).
Greta: You might be right there.
My day was ok, but I think the next two months are going to be very stressful. I just realized today how many stuff I have to learn until April.
Edit: I get WSoDs all the time again, I'm just hoping it won't get as bad as yesterday.

My day was pretty good. I was actually hoping to work later than I did but I'm wating on someone else to finish learning some stuff so I didn't have anything to do. I don't think they would have paid me OT to surf the net.
Just remember to come here when you need to relax or take a mental break.
I'm sure you'll be able to learn everything you need to.
I hope you have a great Thursday.

Hi oba!
Where have you been the last days?
Greta: Glad you had a good day.
Wouldn't it be great if they'd pay you for hanging around on tv.com?
I hope so, but it's a lot of stuff, and I have barely time to come here and talk to you all.
Ethan: Good idea, I wouldn't mind to have a new one, I'm not so sure about the peace though.

I had a good day.
That would be great, at my last job I was bored since I didn't have enough to do so I used to go on tv.com at work sometimes. Especially after they told me I was going to be laid-off, I wonder why.
I hope you have time to learn and still find time for us but I know you know where your priority should be.
Have a great day!
