Banjo-Kazooie returns!
I will admit, I am a huge Rare fan. I
have loved their games ever since Donkey Kong Country. Heck, they are
the ones who basically kept the N64 alive.!
It is great to see
Microsoft starting to really utilize Rare, starting with the return of
Banjo-Kazooie. I am currently playing through the first one for the
second time. I haven't, believe it or not, ever played Banjo-Tooie,
despite my love for the first one. However, I just picked up
Banjo-Tooie, and I am really looking forward to playing it.
While
I was incredibly excited with the announcment, I was also a bit worried
about the games outcome. Those worries have been flushed away, as
Eurogamer has reported that the team behind the original Banjo-Kazooie
on the N64 is working on its Xbox 360 sequel: Eurogamer Article
I will continue
to watch this game with anticipation. Sure, Rare hasn't been quite as
high quality of a developer as it was back in its Donkey Kong/Goldeneye
days, but after playing a bit of Kameo at a friends house, it proves
that Rare still knows how to make great, innovative titles. Plus, with
confirmation that the original Banjo team is working on this game, I
have no doubts that the game will be as great as the last two.

Unfortunately, it doesn't, as Rare is now owned by Microsoft
I do wish that Nintendo still had Rare developing for them. Rare pumped out some absolutely fantastic games for the N64, and Star Fox Adventures on the GameCube was pretty good too.
