Oh My God. If you haven’t seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, then I command you do. Now! Stop what you’re doing, get off TV.com, and run to your nearest movie theatre. Oh God it’s good!

If you’re a fan of the original, then you should definitely give this one a shot. Not only is it visually stunning, what with Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka *drool* and pretty much everything being CGI to the highest possible quality, but the writers have somehow managed to capture the beauty and emotion in the original, AND modernise it enough to appeal to today’s generation. And the subliminal jokes, dark humour and Johnny Depp’s astounding ability to portray an eccentric candy-maker all make this movie a must-see!
