Currently I'm a Design Technician working for an Architect.  Pretty much all I've been doing for the last 6+ months is measuring existing houses, making plans of them, and doing additions/renovations.  It sounds easy, but I hate it.  It's mind numbingly boring and tedious.  This isn't at all what I signed on for.  Now I'm in a career crisis.  Do I stick with the job for the experience?  Do I even want to do this job?  What would I do if I didn't do this?  I think I need a new job, but I don't have the slightest idea what.  I'm at a cross road with no signs.  Oh well, I'll get over it.  I'll just take things one at a time.

Not sure if it would be an improvement over your current situation, but I can get you a job if you need one painting hotels with me. Most of the work would be centered around Atlanta, and while you work in the hotel, you stay for free. Marriot, baby. Don't know if you're at all interested in painting, but there's an opportunity there if you want. I've talked to JerkA55 about it as well, but I think he's gonna go and build playgrounds with an in-law.
But I do hear you about the monotony aspect of work. We've been doing this one hotel for five months (VERY not typical), and I'm about to go out of my mind with wanting to get away. Less than a week to go! Then two weeks off, just in time to go back to work when two of my games come out, hahahahahahahahahaha, sometimes God really likes to test me. (sigh)

Well, thanks for the offer. I really do appreciate it. I have a very bad feeling I'd royally screw it up though. I actually had considered that field, but convinced myself that it's probably a skill I don't possess. My girlfriend and I are actually considering moving and trying our luck elsewhere. She isn't very happy with her job either. I plan on writing a blog about it soon, and I'll give you the low-down then.
