This series hit the ground running, no "I'm from , this is my background story, give it enough time, and my power will unfold". That's rubbish, instead it was "Does it matter who I'am, I have this badass power!". Now they didn't literally say it like that, but all of the cast that were established in the first series, all of their powers were on display within the episode in which they appeared, only a couple didn't, mainly in the form of Micah.

While Lost devotes an episode to one character, Heroes mish-mashes, I love that. I mean you have some characters in Lost that you just couldn't really care less what happens/happened to them (Sun and Jun... what a duo, Batman and Robin much?), but they get 30 minutes (excluding adverts, the bits in between flashbacks where it's current day, but it's not involving the character, like bonfire scenes or a couple of characters in a hatch or something), that does my nut in!

All I know is with Heroes, you know WHERE it's going, but you don't know HOW it will get there, with Lost, you don't know how, where, why, or who half the time, I'm all for mystery, but to the point of me giving up on a three year investment of time. Lost got to a point that I didn't even care what happened to half the characters, just that they explain what the fudge was going on, with Heroes, I feel for each and every character, good OR bad. Lost used to have a character for everyone to relate to, now it barely has characters full-stop, just Kate, Jack, Sawyer, and Hurley... the end. With Heroes, they're all still there and you still have that character.

Give it time and I know even that will change but for now, I prefer Heroes now than I did Lost then, but then I'm a closet Sci-Fi fan so of course there's a bit of Hiro Nakamura in me... YATA!

I'm not a guy to go with the crowd, but then I'm not a rebel, I'm a "tweener" if you will. A guy neither here-nor-there on a subject or a situation, (thanks to political followings, this is called being "Liberal"). So when Lost came around, I didn't jump on the bandwagon, nor did I start it, I simply gave it a chance and fell in love.

I watched all of the first season, from episode one to episode twenty-four and I loved it all, the idea, the characters, the mystery and the conflict; it was basically Big Brother or Castaway/Survivor in drama format with added "that's plain nuts". So there I was, hooked to my tv, for close to four or five months, hoping all with end well and at that point, not really caring where it went as the execution was flawless... but this was all to change.

Going into the second season, it got a bit more... "hmm". The Others, another part of the plane, a base if not bunker, and then the realisation that when watching Lost, you need to have the patience of a patron saint. It's not like you get answers at the end of each episode nigh series, it takes three series to answer the questions of the first IF you're lucky, and then if your questions ARE answered, you can't help but think "oh, ok, not what I thought and still, not a big deal". And then when they DO bring in these people from "the tailend of the plane", they're all dead by seasons end... the point of introducing them was? It just became more and more apparent that they weren't going to answer some questions any time soon and it doesn't help that I read somewhere that even the scriptwriters at one point didn't know how it was going to end... that's plain nuts! The blind leading the blind!

Come the bit of season three I got before Virgin Media fell out with Sky, I STILL wasn't convinced. Jack watching Sawyer and Kate in the cage kissing (pfft), The Others are civilised? THEY KILLED MR. EKO!!! Then I read and was told that even after that they went on to kill off Charlie... WHAT TOSH!!! It's a programme that's closer to giving it's viewers an aneurysm than good viewing!

People watch Lost out of fear that they'll miss out on the vital part that will tie all this loose string together so come the end of it all, they can simply breathe a sigh of relief!
ADMIT IT!!!

My arguement for Heroes is tomorrow night. I have work tomorrow, then football so better get my beauty sleep... HOLLA!!!

Ok, it's official, I should be banned from Gamespot and tv.com for abuse of privileges, no I haven't insulted admin, nor flamed boards but the sheer fact that I just don't use these sites as much as I should, and I apologise.... and now onto the blogging!

A lot-A lot has changed in my life (well video gaming and tv watching anyway), I feel weird talking about anything else in my life like uni, work and such-n-such, so lets keep it simple. I now officially hate Lost, I'm not Pro Evolution Soccer's #1 fan anymore, and the worst of the worst, I barely watch tv anymore! But I'll focus on the goods now, I'm an avid FIFA fan, I love Heroes, and as much as I was on the brink of hating Prison Break, 'Soma' changed all that (for those on unaware of that name, the new prison in which the inmates find themselves).

First, my video games... still on my sports kick, WWE title games, FIFA/Pro Evo (the experiment of both in the same year failed me), Rugby, and Madden, these are the titles I buy RELIGIOUSLY, year-after-year, I'm buying these titles. But seriously... how bad does Rugby 08 blow? Answer: VERY MUCH SO! They should be paying ME to play it. I'm rather impatient at the best of times, so when I went into Game back in February this year and asked "so how many days or weeks till Rugby 07?" and the reply I got was heartbreaking "I hear they're holding it until the beginning of the 2007 Rugby World Cup". For those unaware of it, the World Cup runs from 7th September - 20th October and for those with their "fingers in their ears and living in a cave on Mars" (guess the quotation) it's hosted by France and New Zealand are the overwhelming favourites, sorry, am I going off the point? I'm trying to deflect how crappy Rugby 08 is. ANYWAY...
As I waited the extra 6 or 7 months for Rugby 08, I slammed it into my PS2 and played and within 10 minutes, I was on the PC going back playing Football Manager 2007... why you ask? Rugby 08 is basically 06 but with little extras that end in no time, OFFICIAL Rugby World Cup, a Challenge Mode that places a Rugby Nation in a pivotal match and moment in its history, doesn't matter if its the 1987 New Zealand All Blacks with John Kirwan with THAT try in the opening match, he's not in the game, it's the current roster though half the team wasn't even side-stepping by then. The cameras are awesome, fair play, but the amount of glitches in the game is unreal, and some carried over from 06 which REALLY makes my blood boil! Moving onto another game... PLEASE!
ACTUALLY, I'm going to put a new blog up at least once every two days till I'm up to date on my tv and games, deal? no? well tough cookie-dough, tis my noggin and my keyboard :p

I've been a Muse lover since 2001 if my memory serves me right and i don't know if it's my blind love for the band and all that they represent, but I seriously can't think of any bad Muse songs. If I HAD to name some, it would only be because they...
