Weeks 4-6

Is what I'm learning
Okay So I was a little stressed when I went to my fourthlesson. Cause I thought I would have to do my piece from "DOGMA" with someone who was going to be reading lines from a page and not acting and not looking at me which makes the whole process a lot harder (trust me watch supernatural Jensen only looks away from Jared when Dean is hiding something or he is looking at something trying to work out what it is the rest of the time he has full eye contact and it is the same with Jared)
But to my surprise my teacher paired us up. He told us to find a partner and then we would have one week to learn each others scene then we would film them next week or this week depending on how ready you thought you were. The problem with that was most of the girl's had bought boy girl scenes and most of the boys had bought Boy boy scenes, so our teacher decided to give us three weeks of filming two person scenes in which we would have to find as many scenes as we could and find our own partners. As an incentive to be a persons partner he offered to film both people in the scene so you would get an extra scene out of the process.
I was partnered with Kieran; he is really good and funny though he can be rather distracting so we decided to film my Dogma scene the week after. Which gave us some time to rehearse.
The scene went well my teacher kept telling me to do it faster cause I was doing it too slowly but other then that he liked it, and so did the rest of the ****
So i then needed to find another scene. SoI paired up withSarah whoI worked with in the second week, she was keen to partner up and do another scene together so we chose a Greys Anatomy Scene. Between Meredith and Christina from season 2.

We flipped a coin to see who would be who and I ended up as Christina. The thing I liked most about our scene was probably how much fun we had doing it. Sarah and I get on really well and it shows when we work together. We had to do about four takes just on the opening of our scene because our teacher wanted us to sit on the back of these chairs to give the illusion we were looking down into the O.R, the tricky part was getting up onto the back of the chair whilst being angry, it didn't help that we were laughing about it, in one of the takes i pushed to hard on the chair and nearly took us both out.
In the end we got it but we didn't get a chance to watch them back because we ran over time and the teacher forgot to bring the tapes the next week.
So after we finished that one we decided to do another scene together.I think people are upset we do so much together like we think we are better then the others, it's just that she keeps asking me and we have fun doing it we sort of work the same way and have the same ideas about how scene buddies should act and we get along and do some good stuff together our teacher likes us working together. Our teacher suggested we do something with more dialogue cause our Greys scene was pretty short.
So for our next scene we chosea scene between Paris and Rory when Paris gets asked on a datefrom season 3Gilmore Girls.
Again we flipped a coin and she got Paris and I got Rory.So I spent the week learning a thousand lines those girls talk...and we got to rehearse a little before we filmed it because we were both having line issues either i would screw up my line or she would screw up hers. We got there in the end. Our teacher really liked it. and it was the first time we got to move around in our scene and play with props (I had to do some of her makeup during the scene).
We were the last scene and my teacher sent Sarah to get the others and he pulled me aside.

He just wanted to tell me that he thought i was improving and that he thinks I have dryness that's interesting to watch but if i want to play more characters then i need to work on playing the emotion of a scene so it is more obvious. So that's good i think??? he said i was dry sort of like Jodie Foster. Although he did say when I comfort people in my scenes I'm always believable so I'm confused by what he said??? any clues??
Okay so that's it for the last three weeks. Next week we are mock screen testing, everyone has to prepare them same piece and we are going to get paired up with someone on the day... So I am trying to find the emotion and trying to make my piece as unique as possible. Next term we are going to do group scenes which will consist of 3-4 people so I 'll get to work with a few others. When i told Sarah that she thought it meant i didn't want to work with her any more she was a little upset till i explained that we would have to have other people in those scenes.
Thanks Guys and sorry I haven't been around a lot work has been crazy!! xoxo
