I was on a forum, and i came across an anti-american rant. Do read what he said. *idiocy highlighted in red

America claims to be a country of law and power, They say they want to stop the terror but what are they doing in iraq? While there troops are taking lives and losing there own the goverment is drilling for oil off the shores of Iraq! Not only are they liars they are theifs! Good job Greenday saying it like it is! America needs to sit down on there hill billy front pourchs and shut up for once!

1. Drilling for oil on the coast off the coast of Iraq?

Photobucket

If you can find the coast of Iraq, i'd like to see it. (Landlocked country FTW)

2. Greenday saying it like it is? I'm sorry, American Idiot is the dumbest song i've ever heard. Greenday lost their actual talent when they conformed to being a "nonconformist band." (I hate Greenday)

3. See Hillbillie. American stereotypes make me laugh.

4. See porches. Spell check dumb statements before post.

*Side note: Law and power? I give that a well deserved WTF? If anything we claim to be the Land of the free and home of the brave.

This is definitive proof people who hate America have below average IQs. Thats my vent. The long and short of it is, if you hate America, and live in it, you're making our American heroes, the troops, die in vain. I'm not fond of a soldier dying for someone who doesn't appreciate them for their sacrifices. Granted we aren't a perfect country. There's no such thing. People like this make me sick.

Post opinions, comments, and ideas below. Thanks for readig what i have to say!

Wow. Zanaforia, you are awesome! I completely understand your frustration. It's a shame there are so many folks like the one who posted that anti-American rambling.

Its just the way i am. I dont have to agree with my leaders to support my troops. I wish people realized that.
To quote south park "Intolerance will not be tolerated"

I suppose you could say I'm the same way. As much as I respect each President, my loyalty to the armed forces shall always come first.

My friend is considering joining the Marines, and its not completely out of the question for me either. I'm only in High school, so my future is still very vague at the moment.

So he wants to be a Marine, does he? Excellent career choice. It's a shame that so many people are against joining the military simply because this nation (U.S.) is at war.

In my opinion, regardless of whether or not a war has a point to it, people shouldn't be afraid to join the military and serve their country. And what's worse is those anti-war buffoons. They're more worried about lobbying Congressmen than supporting troops.

My family has a very rich tradition of being in the Air Force. WW2, Korean War, and The Current Situation in Iraq. So if i join any branch it will be the Air Force. I don't know why soldiers get criticism for following the order of a leader. That's just me though....
And I couldnt agree more with what you said. Damn liberals....

I felt it fitting to put this quote up from a conversation on the war with me and my father...
Me- "Dad what do you think is going through an insurgents head in battle?"
Father- "A 5.56 MM bullet"

I'm the son of an Army soldier, but I have no problem with people joining the AF or the Marines, or whatever. I support all the Armed Forces.

Oh, and that quote is an absolute classic!

As much as i hate to use this quote for this conversation, this is a "Don't hate the player, hate the game," situation.
The Vietnam War veterans didn't get such a luxury unfortunately.
I think the only people that should hate our soldiers is the enemy, and not our own people.

I couldn't agree more. But, we both know how people are: quick to put the blame on the soldiers. It is sad that most people are too ignorant to realize and understand that it is the politicians who play the chess games, not the soldiers. The soldiers are merely the pawns/pieces.

People think soldiers are a direct effect on what they're fighting. A soldier isn't trained to kill, they're trained to do what their superiors tell them to do, killing just happens to be something their superiors want them to do.
Posted Jan 26, 2008 8:38 am PT
Actually, soldiers are indeed trained to kill... in hand-to-hand combat training, weapons training, etc. But yeah, following orders is top priority.
