Since I joined just over a week ago I have been mainly working on person guides. Now alot of those had no editor in the first place so i obtained them quite easily.

So far I have attempted to go after two guides with editors already in place. The first was on the guide to Kiefer Sutherland, in which the editor was extremely helpful and added the information I added because he wanted to the guide to be as good as it can be. He did this even though he knew with the amount if info I added that he would lose the editorship.
In my opinion that makes him a good editor, one that will accept all viable contributions even if it means they lose the editorship.

While last night I went after another guide, in which the editor clearly didnt want to lose the editorship. So i have now got like another 20 denied contributions that should really have been accepted. Anyway after several pms to him, he eventually let most of my submissions through and I may have obtained editor status, but I wont find out till later.
However I did notice that some of my submissions have been edited when they didnt need to be, so i'll have to check the guys points later to make sure  he isnt trying to make bogus edits to keep me less than 40 points above him. I also noticed the biography he has done is directly copied, word for word from other sites.
Lame.

Anyway, as I said I am fairly new, but coming across a bad editor really did get me annoyed, as my denied amount has doubled unfairly, and I dont think people should block peoples submissions just because they dont want to lose an editor position. The whole point is to make comprehensive guides with as much information as is possible, without copying directly from other sources.

agree. there are some not so good editors on the site and it is unfair to keep others from contributing

#1: I ALWAYS want proof in the comments.
#2: You're the editor. Whoopdee do.
#3: That biography isn't mine. I didn't submit it.

But you were the editor. So if you didnt submit it, you should have corrected it.

And ok, yes u said u wanted proof, but as I have had in experience with other editors (good ones) if there is a situation like that you should attempt to contact the submitter asking for proof thru pm instead of mass rejecting aload of subs.
You submitted only the bare minimum to get the editorship and then moved onto another. When I go for an editor on anything I submit all the information I find on them before moving on.

Anyway sorry if ur angry cos u lost it, but you could have gone about it better.
