When the movie was over, I had this warm fuzzy feeling. Like if you have friends that you haven't heard from and you think they might have been in trouble or something, then you find out they are okay. That's what it felt like. I was upset when Firefly ended, but now I know my friends are okay.

Burn the land and boil the sea, my friend. What more can I say. Burn that darn land, boil the stinkin' sea!

Loved it. We'll be seeing it again on Saturday. Mostly because we want them to be able to make a sequel.
Re: Wash.
Was anyone else shocked?
I think this little relatively inexpensive flick's special effects look more realistic that Lucas' very expensive ones. It's not just me is it?

My Friends

What did you think? Jayne seems like the most different from the series.
Here's my (relatively spoiler free) comparison of characters to the TV series:
Mal - same, perhaps more intense (could just be because the big screen close ups make him look more intense)
Kaylee - same
Zoe, Wash, Book - pretty much same, but reduced role (Wash has more dinosaurs)
Inara - same (but more fight scenes)
Simon - rewound to the begining of the series. Also he wears a t-shirt/swearshirt thing that makes him look different than always the button up shirt on Firefly. He's the only one that struck me as being recognizably "older".
River - they made a whole movie about her.
Jayne - still with funny comments and not liking Simon and River, and everything, but something seems different in this version.
Serenity - Seems bigger. The pilots chair has moved over and sprouted a twin.
