Marvel Ultimate Alliance Completed

After months of waiting for the release of this game, it came to us at last. In the hopes that it would be better than the first, we purchased it. Very excitedly we popped it into the xBox 360, and off we went. The game was fantastic from the word go.

Synopses: After the events of the first game, MUA2 rejoins our gang of super hero's as they fight off random enemies and doing missions for Shield. After a while there is an internal rivalry between Iron Man and Captain America when it comes to Registering if you are a mutant. You need to pick a side, and the side you pick will change your missions completely.

In the meantime there are nanites which have taken over some heroes and villains and you need to rid the world of them, only to find that Shield's own Nick Fury has been taken over as well and this leads to a fantastical end battle.

I found that the game was a little bit to easy, even on the harder levels we managed to finish it in less than 10 hours. Even though it's quite short and easy, the graphics were mind blowing. Serious improvement were done to the Super Heroes' costumes. A lot more detail and effort went into creating each character, and it shows. The Powers have also improved a lot visually. They made things look a lot more fierce and that gives you that sense of power you so crave.

Acting's great. Characters are well portrayed according to the comics, not only in flesh, but also the way they think and talk.

Fantastic game for those who like either Marvel, or blowing things up using tornado's.

Lair Completed

I must admit that I was quite disappointed with Lair. The idea looked solid, the packaging looked great, I mean, what could go wrong? It has dragons on it and everything. Well, I was shown just how wrong a good idea can go when I put the game into the console.

Synopses: A Kingdom broken in two by volcanic activities find themselves in a battle for power. On the one team you have the race that relies on Electricity and Steam, on the other side, you have your kingdom who tries to be one with nature. You are thrown right into battle at the start as you try and save your kingdom from attack.

After a few battles, the 2 nations decide to stop the war. One of your fellow countryman does not agree with this and kills the opponents king/president dude. You start to fight against your own people, but only after having to survive the desert.

At the end of it all, you match up to your own countrymen and their war machines and beasts, only to finish in spectacular fashion.

The graphics for this game sucks totally. It's like playing a hi-def version of Tomb Raider 3. It's image maps everywhere, the animation stinks and the fighting is clumsy. The sound of the game was okay, and the story was okay, but nothing ground breaking. I liked the way you had to control the dragons, though it left one a little frustrated at times as well. But you get used to it.

Okay game. Worth a go if you have played the rest of your games and you really want to ride a pixel dragon...

Dance Dance Revolution Completed

I see myself as a "Straight Acting" person. DDR kind of takes that away from me. Jumping around on a mat covered in arrows by the beat of some strange music isn't your common Straight person type of thing. Well...unless you are from Japan. That said, it's still a lot of fun. And added to that, it's a great way to burn calories.

DDR managed to entertain me for countless hours, but I gave up after trying to beat the second to last person for the 7th time and still wasted 2 hours of my life trying to do so. I'll give this game another go in a few months or so, but for now I'm going to hang up my Dance Booties, and get back to the Guitars, Drums, Keyboards and controllers.

I left the Cinema feeling like I have no idea what the hell it was that I just saw? I felt that I waisted my time. There are to many gaps in the story and things that they simply didn't explain. What I did like about the movie were the intense...

I think this falls under one of the funniest movies I've seen this year. Not quite number one though, but still really good. The Idea of the movie is an old one, but the way that it plays out is totally new and fresh. It sees our Playboy Bunny...

Hellboy 2: The Golden Army
I think I'm going to have a lot of people who disagree with me on this, but I think this one was much better than the first one. It had much more monsters, obviously a bigger budget and lots of action. I liked it.

Some parts were...

Mamma Mia!
I loved this movie! The music is great! ABBA rocks. I wouldn't say that the acting was all that fantastic, but it got the job done. And anything with Meryl Streep is set to be a hit. I didn't see the live show, so I can't comment on if it's good...

Wanted
Actually, I liked this movie. The story line is something new. Something that I personally have not seen. This is something very rare today. The CG effects were awesome. I loved the way they zoomed in and slowed down the time for all the bullets....
