You guys are going to think I'm crazy after saying this. In fact, I know you will. I'm getting rid of my PS2. Along with all of my games. And to save you from curiosity- no I am not replacing it with another console.

The main reason is I feel like I can't really live my life while playing games. They consume me. I can't live my life when I'm immersed in a virtual world. Iexist in a real world whileloosing myself in a reverie.

Feel free to ask if you have any questions

With that said, I think this will be my last blog entry. I really gotta thank all of you guys for your friendship. The laughs and discussions, all of it really I'll still log in to check PMs and such, so don't think I'm not friends with you guys anymore!!!

My email is stephen-wong(at)live(d0t)com . Do add me at MSN if you have it. And my myspace URL is myspace.com/stephentheredhead . I also have facebook. PM if you want a link to my profile!

Regards,
Stephen.

PS- This isthe first public appearance of my name!!

Sad to see you go, definitely one of the coolest people on here, I sent you an invite on Myspace. I seem to be mostly done with console gaming myself, purely because it has stopped interesting em for the most part (with a few excellent exceptions of course, but i still hardly play them). I have recently been more hooked on handheld gaming, although I still don't play much. One thing i can tell you for sure is that I won't be buying another system, waste of money IMO. Anyway my life has become much more interesting and busy, not to mention a lot better. As it progressed to the point it's at now I played less and less videogames to the point where I'm at now. I still come here to participate in the community and post reviews every once in a while but I've toned it down a lot without even trying interestingly enough. For me, friends, family, my girlfriend, music, school, and work are what occupy my life the most right now. It's been nice knowing you on here and hopefully we can correspond on Myspace a bit. Peace out bro!

Oh man that sucks. But at least we talk at MSN. Are you sure about this?

I can play games and still live my life. I merely balance my hobby with other social outgoings. It's a pity but your decision. See you around.

totally understandable.... gaming can be consuming, and that can interfere with life. i wish you all the best in your new endeavors - and i have you on msn already so at least i won't be missin ya.... oh and if there's any PS2 games you wanna send my way, i'd be happy to take em off your hands

Are you sure about this?? There are a million ways to live a great life while playing games, it's all about managing the time. But if this is really your ultimate choice, I guess I will see you around. I will add you on MSN so we can keep in touch. Cya.

Sadness but we still have the music right? I can understand where you are coming from. I gave up games while I was studying and such because I would get nothing done.I don't think you should get rid of all your games though, you might want them one day when you have more free time and you have spent so long collecting them.

Videogames are one hell of a drug.

Oh goodness- thanks guys! Really means a lot to hear all of this from you guys!! @ Lionheart08- That's right, gotta do what you gotta do. Thanks man, haha your bog posts were always fun.

@ Zathic- We're still pals! Long live Drakengard!

@ Benevolentbob- Awesome man, just awesome. Thanks a ton. And Yeah! We still have myspace. I'll be sure to add you back and we'll definately talk there.

@ BladeDynasty777- Haha, thanks man. I appreciate it .

@ N8A- Will do, thanks!

@ _overdose- Yes, I am sure. And since when has gs kept us from talking? Haha I'll still see you around.

AzelKosMos- Thanks for the advice I've put a good deal of thinking into it all though, and I'm affraid the PS2 will always be gone. Say bye to the Temple for me

@ SymonDezyn- Thank you. I appreciate that. And I'll be sure to message you the next time I can- and I'll definately see what I can do about those games.

@ Shinobi-Neo - Thanks! Your dedication is admirable. Great hearing from you.

@ Lady_Bahamut- Awesome-thanks! Haha glad to know this isn't a goodbye for us

@ Ricardo_gil - Thanks man, I appreciate your concern. Yes, I am sure. And thanks for adding me at MSN.

@ polarmanda - you're right. That's good advice. If I were to keep them though I would just store them in the attic. No, I'd rather them be enjoyed and played by gamers who will appreciate them just as much if not more than I have. And of course we still have the music!! Muaha!! And haha, I'm _definately_ glad this is not a goodbye to you. I'll talk to you later, Manda.

@ NeoGen85 - That they are, and so is hockey in your case . Take care friend.

. Man, keep in touch via MSN. Sorry to hear that video games have become such a huge influence that they have affected your real life. I, too, battle with such an addiction, but feel that I have got it largely under control without having to get rid of my systems. I commend you on making such a huge step, though. ALWAYS keep the big picture in mind. Important things come first, like friends, family, and health. Anyway, good luck, keep in touch.
