This game will be mine in the upcoming hour. Many have critisiazed it for being repetitive and too restrictive. You play as Vayne,a student who studies alchemy in Al Revis and the game takes place mostly in the school grounds. You have to pass the classes and do certain requests in order to continue in the game and get free time which you can use however you like but once it is over you are back to school. Some may call me a masochist but i like being restricted and following a story line.Too much freedom will ruin everything.

So what do you thing?Do you want freedom in games or do you want to be restricted and follow a certain storyline?

never heard of it , but I like really open ended games, that give you lots of freedom.

I like freedom in games. It gives more variety and makes it more interesting in my opinion. Btw check out my reviews Mobel.

I'm quite enjoying Mana Khemia. It doesn't completely control your movements, not even when you should be in class. As long as you wait to get your assignment, you can run around as you like before going to class. Free time is the only place where you can accept jobs or advance storylines with your other characters though. Some of the areas aren't open to you when you're a freshman, but they'll open up once you're a sophomore or senior. I like how they restrict your growth on the game though. You can't just run around, defeating enemies and leveling up. Your growth depends on the items you make through alchemy.

I like games with freedom, sure, but with a straightforward and linear experience. Like, you can go back and fight monsters if you want, but to progress any further, you need to go a certain path.

That way, I never get lost

Enjoy it! I love both! It doesnt matter which one Im doing, as long as it fits the game

I love following a certain path. I mean too much freedom sort of doesn't focus on the story line and it feels abit blah. I like a slight bit of freedom however.
