Just found out I am being made redundant, due to a county-council wide reform, apparently libraries aren't essential services. From the end of December I won't be children's librarian - and my user name will no longer be relevant! ![]()
Good thing I brought the PS3 when I did. Ah! *pets PS3*
On a gaming note I've not (quite) completed MW:2 but very near, and not only does it look amazing, the gameplay is fun as hell. The 'evil' level made me feel sick to my soul. BUT - how easy is it?? I mean really - all you do is sight down the scope all the time! KillzOne's learning curve was much more satisfying to me, anyway.

Looking forward to some good gaming ![]()

Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah!
After uming and ahing for a month or two my lost PS3 has been replaced by a new and updated version! Although part of me laments the loss of a fine looking old-school system, how can I complain when the ability to smash heads on Killzone 2 has been returned to me?
I am currently installing the system update, obviously, then I am planning some late-night hardcore Redeye action on the go. It seems so long since I last held yon sturdy pad in my sweaty little paws I can hardly contain my excitement. It's almost greater the second time round!
Since I have yet to become attached to any of my previous PSN IDs I shall probably make myself a shiny new one to go with my shiny (well, OK - matt) new console. See following post for more info ![]()
I went and saw my friend at Gamestation and he fixed me up as usual - I got a 250gb system, Killzone 2 (obviously), Little Big Planet and Need for Speed:Shift, the latter of which I will possible exchange soon for Tekken 6. Also got an extra controller and extended warranty for a monetary amount just shy of 300 pounds.
Really looking forward to getting my teeth into Batman AA and Uncharted 2 soon as well.
Squee!
