It's time for the spring cleaning, and to a person like me that means only one thing: reorganizing my bookmarks. Yes, my collection of favorite sites has become incredibly disorganized. Not to mention the fact that there aren't that many of them since I'm using a relatively new computer. So today will mostly be devoted to collecting, cataloging, and coalescing bookmarks. ("Coalescing" is there because I needed a third word that started with "C" in order to be totally alliterative. But it kinda works.)
Hey, I'm inches away from my first level increase in over a year! Woot Woot! Maybe when I'm done with my busy work I'll come back and finish that off. There are a few sadly neglected guides that I could go after, but editorships can be bothersome. We'll see.
Sorry for the sub-standard blog. To make up for it I'll leave you with an interesting Question of the Day.
QotD: Is TV.com actually useful? Is this a place you would go to for information if you weren't involved in it?
Alright, thanks for reading and I'll TTYL. Now I have to figure out how I'll file "TV.com" in my new system... I'm so excited!

I have a confession. I rarely use this site anymore unless the search engine brings it up. I play over at Filmspot and MP3 but rarely TV.com. I am going to be whiney and tell you I miss TVTome.
Stiggy: I also know how woefully inadequate many of the guides are.
Ain't that the truth!
Your use of the site makes sense. I've actually picked up a little bit of it myself; I pay a great deal more attention to episode titles and information now.
Wow, KFCgravy, you must have the most meticulously organized bookmarks on your side of the Mississippi (whichever side that is).
I bow down to the Mega-Geek!
Hi, Angus_Mac.
Mine are still quite a mess even after the organizing. I use the Del.icio.us Firefox extension, and it's proving very difficult to work with. But I'm determined to make it function, because it's an awesome tool.
That's very true, Jekyll, as far as TV shows go I can think of no more comprehensive source. You won't get any more information anywhere else, but it's the reliability of the information that can be troubling. A lot of people don't waste time correcting guides that already have editors. Especially if the editor (for some strange reason) has a big contribution score. There are some reasonably high-profile guides out there that are just terrible.
Hey, Angelsxo, it is great to see you around. Hopefully things are getting better for you. ![]()
In my reorganizing, Kimba, I found a lot of bookmarks that I neither remembered nor could explain.
So I definitely know what you're talking about.
I don't use this site regularly, but when it comes to credits it has recently become a lot more reliable than that other site. ![]()

You know, before I was a member, back when it was tvtome, I used to use it all the time to check out what episode it was of xyz show on tv... you can't always tell from the title/one line description in the tv guide, so I'd check to see if I'd seen it before.
For some reason, I don't do that so much any more. Is it because my memory's better? That might be it... I never used to pay attention to episode titles, but now I do... now that that's one of the three required things to have in order to add a new episode. Now that I have to remember 200 episodes of 'That 70s Show'... so that I can look at a quote and go 'that wasn't in this episode, it was in the ~other~ episode!'
I still use it occasionally to find out who a guest star is (like Wilson's wife last night on House... who was she? What do I know her from?) and now that the filmspot credits are showing up, that's a little more helpful. But I also know how woefully inadequate many of the guides are.
If I wasn't involved...yeah, I guess I'd still use it the way I used tvtome. I looked at episode guides, and that was all. No other participation at all. Didn't read anything in the forums, didn't even know they existed. Ah, those were the days!
