Wow, haven't been here in a LONG time, haven't written a blog in an even longer one. I just finished my freshman year of college. I went to my local Community College, CSI, or College of Staten Island, and I kind of regret it. Without the whole living on your own thing, it just sorta feels like a slightly different high school, at least so far it does. Besides that, nothing interesting has happened to me since I was last here, I really do lead a boring life...
And on that slightly depressing note, lets talk about TV baby, I mean that is what this site is for isn't it. The Lost season finale just aired last week and damn I LOVED it. This season as a whole has been slightly dissapointing. After a great start it seemed to lose alot of momentum in the middle, but it definetely picked up towards the end. I mean damn, first off, in one hour they killed off three members of the original cast. I'm definetely gonna miss Jin, he be the man. Yunjin Kim's performance in the finale was excellent, porbably the best stuff she's done since season one. And Micheal didn't affect me much since I barely even realised he was back. I mean seriously, what's the point of bringing the guy back just to kill him a couple of eps later, such a wasted opportunity. And damn, Locke is the guy in the coffin, damn, did not see that one coming. Also didn't expect the Oceanic Six to be rescued so quickly. And there rescue was a very exciting one, I mean damn, their helicopter went down straight into the ocean (not killing any of em, even the baby, cause obviously, as evidenced by Michael, you can only die when the island wants you to die, or something). Loved the rescue by Penny, I should of saw it coming when I saw the boat, but I was too damn caught up in the ep to even think about it. Desmond and Penny's reunion was so touching, just beautiful. Hope that Dan dude isn't gone, he was my favorite of the freighter folk. I have no idea where they're gonna go next season, back on the island in the present with flash-forwards to the oceanic six, or will there be a permanent jump to the future (like Desperate Housewives) we were first introduced to in last years finale? That's what I'm really curious about.
Speaking of Desperate Housewives I'm still shocked by the five year jump. And I'm still pissed they had Susan kissing some random younger guy. I mean, I've never been a huge Mike fan but this season it was so nice to see them happy and together, it just worked. I can't help but think the only reason they broke em up was so Susan could actually be interesting next season, grrrr...
Battlestar Galactica, this season has definetely been interesting. I've found it very hard to get into, though the last few eps have been a big improvement. Friday's ep really annoyed me though. I simply do not buy into Lee being the President, I just don't. I never even bought into him being a politician, let alone President. I was so hoping that dude with the glasses and the dead cat would just put an end to his miserable, annoying existence...Besides that, I like what they're doing with the show at the moment. Tigh's relationship with the imprisoned six is definetely interesting, with his dead wife showin up every now and then and I was shocked to hear she was pregnant, damn. And I love the whole civil war thing the cylons have got going on, very cool. Next weeks ep looks interesting, and the ads better be misleading, cause I really don't see Rosling being the final cylon.
Anyway, onto Buffy season eight. I'm in love with this series, it's like a dream come true and it just keeps getting better and better. The Wolves at the Gate arc has been great. I did have the infamous Buffy/Satsu in bed thing spoiled to me by the internets, but the actual scene is now one of my favorites of the series, everyone walking in on the two was hillarious and immediately ended any annoying storylines involving Buffy keeping a secret from her friends like she did back in season six. The scene was hillarious, Andrew's lines were probably the best -"Hi Buffy, Hi nude asian girl. How much Dramamine did I take?" Seriously loved it. The rest of the arc has of course been great as well. Love Xander and Renee's relationship development, and have to say I did not see the end of issue 14 coming AT ALL. Joss is definetely evil, that's all there is to it. Love Giant Dawn, as always, how can you not love her when she says things like "Hi, or I mean...ROAR!" Though I gotta say I don't like the way Georges Jeanty draws her, she look 14...Oh and I love Drac being back, though I do kinda wish they'd bringing back old character and start bringing in some great shiny new ones.
Also on the Whedon front, I'm so friggin excited about Dollhouse. It will obviously be the greatest thing to ever grace our television screens.
And with that I leave you, see ya in December or whenever I come back to this site again and at the same time decide to write a blog...
