First *spell check*

Yep I spelled Machiavellian wrong

Anyway someone gave me a copy of FE:Shadow Dragon for my birthday yesterday(woot 17) and a lot of you know about this strategy series. The part that really gets to me is how when a character dies thats it its over, you have been written out of the story, have fun... IN HELL. Yes, no extra lives, no one ups, no phoenix downs, no team party healers, and no taking them to an inn for rest(which never makes since, why would more sleep help someone knocked out). They are just dead and forgotten, they belong to the earth now. It also raises the difficulty, when a character you spent so much time advancing is picked off(I have lost about 4-5).

The game has many companions for you to find, the only one who matters is Marth the main character. Your allies seem to have their own lives, but will gladly lay it down for Marth. In battle like most people I try to keep them all alive, though there are the less desirables on the team who may catch a few arrows to many. I have just started the game but already I had to make a choice as to which of my knights would sacrifice himself. I chose the oldest/strongest one out of weak emotion and he seemed to have lived a full life. One of the dumber weaker ones ended up dead a few seconds later so that was a mistake.

It is not just your own men, you can add to your ranks your former enemies too . Certain named foes with faces can be added and killed. During their attack they will divulge so personal info some saying they have lost heart or don't agree with their armies or even were forced to fight. You can give them a chance at redemption or strike them down and leave their problems with their corpse. Example in one battle an archer named Caster states, he needs the money that is why he does this. In battles he fights Cord the only thing I know about Cord is he is one of my guys and Cord is what i'm going to call my son amazing name.

The two fight and Castor kills, Cord and he is off to valhalla. I still have a chance to make him join, but I strike Castor down immedietly with a smile on my face. As he dies he apologises to his mother, it leads me to believe he died earning money for her i'll say illness(You can talk to them, but Marth was on the other side of the map). So now I possibly have his mothers blood on my hands...sadlly the whore should of thought of this before her son killed Cord.

Anyway sorry for the long blog, just saying Fire Emblem and especially the main Marth teach us a few valuable lesson. How to shut off your empathy and forget other peoples feelings, the ends justify the means especially if it means you end up alive, and as long as the right people stay alive(Marth) we can keep rolling like nothing happened.

I give it an 10/out of 10 for the life lessons which more games need. When was te last time you walked away from a game a wiser person.

I have been friends with this girl for a while and I can tell by looking she likes me, and she is a good girl but I don't know. I have been thinking of asking her out but there are a few problems.

  • I currently still have no job and am broke
  • no car
  • minor problem but we have classes together and I would feel funny having a girl in the same classes
  • i don't know if i'm ready to start seeing anyone
  • She isn't the type to put out which is good but has its downsides

apart from that everything is great, do you guys think I should go for it. Or maybe see if she ass me out.... Girls do ask out guys right.

I also understand this is a high shcool thing and it should not be taken seriously.

Mercenary848 must really love MovieTome and agree with every review we've ever written! What other reason could Mercenary848 possibly have for not rating a single film?
