HEY EVERYBODY!! this is my first blog, so go easy on me, after all...im only a NEWBIEEEE. hehe
well, this is a poem i wrote a while ago & i thought you might like to read it ENJOY!!

PLASTIC SURGERY NIGHTMARE

A material girl woke up one day
And stared into the looking glass "I need work done, I need re-shaping
My face craves poise and utter c,lass.

The Masquerade ball is in two weeks,
And I don't yet have a date,
Maybe this is the reason why,
They don't bite, when I dangle the bait!

I cannot tolerate this nonsense,
It's completely unacceptable!
I cannot slide in second place,
To that girl Sally Neptable!

That Masquerade queen crown must be mine,
Or I might just break some necks!
And that stupid Sally Neptable will joyfully be next!"

So the material girl hopped out of bed,
With a clear and simple motum,
To schedule an emergency appointment,
With Doctor Lenny Frotum!

Later that sunny afternoon,
Material Girl entered the clinic.
"Kathy Gibbs" she rudely exclaimed
"The doctor'll be with you in a minute."

She plonked herself,
On a waiting room chair,
Reading the latest edition
Of Plastic Surgery Nightmare.

She didn't flinch,
Nor show emotion.
Just rubbed into her skin,
Some sun tan lotion.

If only she took notice,
To the 'Plastic Surgery Nightmare'
Know-all-ish toward the article,
But soon she'll so much care!

"Dr Frotum will see you now."
The plastic lady explained,
So Kathy followed her down the hall,
And all the way complained

"No man will ever want me,
With a hideous face like this!
But after this surgery session,
Every male will want a kiss!"

She lay down in the treatment chair,
And explained descriptively to Dr Frotum,
Just how she pictured it all done,
And her clear and simple motum.

"I was thinking botox, laser and maybe a tuck
With emphasis and detail,
I wanna look a million bucks,
Like the mannequins in retail!"

Dr Frotum politely nodded,
Not listening to a word she said,
He shoved on his apron,
And lowered down the operating bed.

Kathy was in there for hours,
No one knows the actual events
But when she approached out from the hall,
Her face was tight and tense.

Beside from a creepy expression in her face,
And the fact that she looked like plastic
And if you rubbed her fake tanned skin,
She'd squeak like rubber or elastic.

Kathy seemed pleased with the work done that day,
And didn't suspect a thing,
She payed her money at the front desk,
And felt fit for a king.

Though when she stepped out into the midday sun
And it caught a glance at her skin,
She started to feel her face become damp,
And felt her features become quite thin

Her nose turned soft and squishy,
And her cheeks began to burn,
If only she'd read the 'Plastic Surgery Nightmares'
But was too reluctant to learn

As she felt herself waste away,
And melt like burning wax,
She wished she'd researched first,
And learnt all the facts.

But all was too late now,
As it all felt acceptable,
That now a simple town girl would win at the Ball,
A girl named Sally Neptable!

As it turned out,
Kathy's fate didn't turn out so hot,
As a puddle of melted skin,
By the parking lot.

That's what you get,
For being untrue to yourself,
So just be thankful you're happy
And have your health.
