This is my list of games and series that are good but never get the attention or prais, or enough people to buy them, they are good games. This is my top6 enjoy. By the way if you didn'g get a chance to read my last blog about the new game "Epic Mickey" you can read it and post. I apolazige most are RPG's but thats what I play so.
6. Pyschonauts- though the game did get the reviews that it deserved it's overlooked by many people because they didn't buy it perhaps because there were other games at the time they wanted. It took a unique setting by divining into peoples minds and delivered a fun and interesting platformer.
5.Ar Tonelico Series- Though only two have come out and there are many fans of these games they don't get ther praise they deserve. It's turn-based combat that keeps in what JRPG fans like. but by connecting and helping your Reyvetails learn new magic it does well to give a unquieness that most games don't seem to offer.
4.Blue Dragon/ Lost Odyssey- when I played these games I saw two masterpeices, right before my eyes I felt that I was playing a Turn-based Final Fantasy and a Chrono Trigger all over again. I liked these two together not because they are sequals or a series but because they use some of the same creatures. Critics complained that they were to oldschool and did not give the appeal to new gamers but in every aspects the games pulled ahead on top and deleivered expirinces that new gamers could final experience what we did long ago.
3.Shadow Hearts Series- Though I will admit the Story to Shadow Hearts III left me unfullfiled it was still fun. Shadow Hearts is a turn-based RPG with an excellent story that takes place in a alternate history of earth before and after World War I. Critics loved the fact of the judgement wheel but felt it lacked in other aspects and did not stand up to games Like Final Fantasy X well. Regardless of weather your a fan or not, these game was fun and overlooked by many.
2.The Legend of Dragoon- On my classics list and one of my most favorite games ever, not to mention one of my very first RPG's The Legend of Dragoon. for its time delievered a unique take to the Turn-based RPG System By giving you a square that would go past another square and you had to time your hits to meet the square. When you transformed into a Dragoon you were able to use magic it was a really cool idea. Critics bashed it because you didn't watch animations of your characters attack. (Find the Irony in that nowadays they critize games if it makes you watch animations.) they also felt the dragoon transformation was out of place but I thought it was brilliant how it worked. It story gave us a history of a continent called Endiness and eventually tied the moments that you play into the history without make it confusing it story was great and at least to me stands out even today.
One has Final Come one of my most loved RPG series and Favorite RPG Series Next to Final Fantasy.
1.Wild Arms Series- 1 through 3 were turn-based and though they had different elements than other RPG's they were still fairly turn-based and not much originalty. One thing that does stand out between all games in the series is its unique Wild West Theme mixed with fantasy storylines. Cowboys seem lie a boring way to design a game but for some reason Wild Arms work. 4 and 5 attempted somthing that could destroy a game and that was craft a very unique turn-based battle system and fans and RPG fans that played them we learned the sucessed quite well. By giving you 6 Hexes on the feild. you move the characters to hexes and eliminate your enemies. You als have whats called Ley points say you have an enemy that is weak to water and your on thewater Ley point you will do more damage with awater spell. To take that concept further if your enemey is on the fire ley point you can do more damage on top of that. I loved the battle system in 4 and 5 so much its made me want Wild Arms 6 more than ever. and I'm still waiting to hear that Wild Arms 6 will be released
