How was everyone's weekend? Anybody get anything good from the Black Friday sales? I didn't go but my parents did and I know they got me Guitar Hero 3 with 2 guitars (and for only $85!) for Christmas. As for anything else they got I have no idea... I did go to some places on the Saturday after and there were some great sales then. I was in Michigan visiting relatives and we figured we'd stop at some places. We went to Gamestop and they were having a buy two used games get one free sale, so I picked up: Gungrave: Overdose (PS2) $5.99, Doom 3: Resurrection of Evil (Xbox) $17.99, and Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade (PSP) $8.99. From a place called Gibraltar's (basically a huge flea market but with mostly new stuff) I picked up Galaga: Demons of Death (NES) for $5.00. Other than that it was pretty average. My aunt cooked some pretty awesome food and the desserts (peanut butter pie and a Oreo pudding type thing) were to die for. I got a lot of PSP and DS time in due to the fact that we were traveling everywhere and the trip to and from Michigan ended up being about 7 hrs total. My PSP got the most game time in as I played lots of Monster Hunter Freedom 2, Sega Genesis Collection, and (on the way back) Untold Legends. I also watched Dawn of the Dead and Family Guy: The Freakin Sweet Collection on it. I also beat Phoenix Wright: And Justice For All on the DS and started playing Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon, and while it seems interesting i'm going to have to play it some more before I can perfect all the mechanics. So that's about it..., as always leave comments, positive or negative. Till next blog...

Hey Gamespot! Just want to fill you guys in on some stuff. Today I beat Half-Life 2 for the Xbox and it was fantastic, definitely one of the best games i've played. After I beat it I was really wanting to play Episode 1 so I mentally went over my options:

1. Get a new computer.

2. Get a 360.

3. Play it over feshmans house

In the end i've decided on most likely getting a new computer, as the one I own now is pretty old and I wanted to get a 360 after the Aug 2008 update. So I might be putting my Christmas money toward a new computer. In other news, I got a Dreamcast! I got a pretty good deal on it ($30 for the system, controllers, a vmu, and cords) and i've been enjoying it. But I have a question for fellow Dreamcast owners, when I play some games the system makes a screeching noise. Now I know the dreamcast is supposed to be loud, but is this screeching noise normal? Any answers would be greatly appreciated. If your wondering what games I got with it they were:

Tony Hawks Pro Skater, Blue Stinger, Carrier, and Jet Grind Radio

I also ordered Sonic Adventure 2 off ebay. Oh and by the way, anybody have any Dreamcast game recommendations?

On the non-gaming side of things my local library had a huge book sale, hardback were $1.00 and paperback were $0.50. I picked up:

The Book of Lists: The 90's Edition by David Wallechinsky and Amy Wallace (Hardcover), Age of Consent by Howard Mittelmark (Paperback), Monsters in Our Midst by various authors and edited by Robert Bloch (Hardcover), Ghoul by Brian Keene (Paperback), Dead City by Joe McKinney (paperback), Shadowfall by James Clemens (Paperback), The Straight Dope by Cecil Adams (Paperback), and The Devil's Bride: Exorcism: Past and Present by Martin Ebon (Hardcover).

Well, thats about it. Hope you guys had a good weekend. Please leave comments, negitive or postive. Till next blog...

This's blog's a little late but I just wanted to let you guys know that my 2600 got here on Monday and i'm having a great time with it. Playing a lot of my favorite classics (Centipede, Space Invaders, Missle Command, Warlords) from my house is just awesome and it's really fun messing around with the variations. Other than that everything's pretty much the same. I did pick up some games from a pawn shop on Thursday, they were:

Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (PS2) $10.00

Gorf (2600) $3.00

Super Mario World (SNES) $5.00

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (SNES) $5.00

Super Metroid (SNES) $5.00

So yeah, some really good games. I owned LoZ: ALtP, SMW, and SM but sold them along with my original SNES when I was 9 or so so it's good to have them back ( I never beat SMW and SM when I had them either). I also picked up Stephen Colbert's new book I Am America (And So Can You!) and I have to say that it's hilarious. If you like The Colbert Report, you have to pick it up. Well that's about it. Till next blog...
