Before she went to jail, where do you think she stayed at? I mean it was said in Season 2 that she ran away and joined the circus. Being a daughter of a nobleman, I doubt they approved--so did she stay with Azula in the palace or did she stay with her family? She was barely shown in season 3, but I think that's b'cuz she wasn't really needed until 305 and 316 (really sad she's only in 3(?) episodes not counting the finale). I'm just wondering if after running away would Ty Lee be accepted back into her family to the point that she could visit them, etc. Or was it the, "Once you leave, you can never return" scenario? There's also the question of Ty Lee even wanting to return to her family ever. I would like to know your thoughts. Also I've been thinking of writing something about them, and it would really help if I had a hint of her current rel. with her family. Oh btw, to anyone who commented on my last entry--I'm so sorry for the REALLY late reply--but if you're still interested, I replied.

She probably would have been given a house fairly close to the palace, like Mai was. I don't think that she would have stayed with her family - from what she said in 305, I think that Ty Lee has little or no desire to be with her family, not so much because she doesn't like them as because she wants to be independant - although she might visit them occaisonally, she wouldn't want to visit them.
BTW, I made a reply to your reply, if you're interested.

Kas_Dude: Long time no see! ^_^ And yeah I felt that Ty Lee was cheated out of the third season. It's really sad. She wasn't even mentioned in the episodes she wasn't in. Axrendale: But Mai wasn't given a house; she was staying at her family's house, I believe. Since her father, mother, and Tom Tom were at New Ozai. I had a crazy thought that the reason we didn't see her so much in season 3 was b'cuz she was with her family--and they were sorta keeping her locked up until Azula called for her. XD I dunno, trying to make her change her mind about her lifestyle and getting her to come back to them. And you're working on a long term fanfic? Really? Well please inform me of it when you post it (where btw? FF.net? Or here?) I'd like to read it. Do you mind me asking what it's about? And I have no doubt that when Azula becomes well that she will find a way to escape (if she doesn't reconcile with her family) but Azula's lost some really important/powerful followers like the Dai Li and Ty Lee and Mai.

It is unfortunate that Ty Lee hasn't gotten much of a role in Season 3, although I was impressed with "The Beach" episode since the writers manage to bring some character development in her.
I'm not really sure about Ty Lee wanting to return to her family. It sounds to me that she enjoys being independent.

Yes. But where do you think she stayed during Season 3 when they were in the Fire Nation? And where does she go when she's in the Fire Nation, visiting? I'm not questioning whether Ty Lee would return to her family forever or not--b'cuz it's obvious she's not going to. ^__^

To Maylene: It's hard to say who the house belonged to. But if Ty Lee had needed a place to stay, I'm sure that Azula could easily have arranged to have some Noble family sent to govern part of the Earth Kingdom, leaving a free house for her to move into.
My fanfic project, is, of course, about Azula. It's a 3 part novel - part 1 concerns Azula gradually begining her healing process, and her break-out from the mental facility. Part 2 has her set out to try and find her mother, hoping that Ursa's forgiveness may help bring her some measure of peace. Part 3 concerns her seeking to find her place in the new world, basically looking to find what she is going to do with the rest of her life.
The other main characters from the original series will be making appearances, but not very often, at least not in the first part. I'm also definitely going to bring back favorites like the Dai Lee, and the Sun Warriors, at various points. The other major goal of the book is to try and bolster some of the low points of the series. For example, I intend to try and redeem "The Great Divide" by setting one of the more exciting chapters in that location.
I'm hoping to be ready to post it sometime around Febuary, when the NYCC will be on, and the mini-series will be coming out.

My guess is she did stay with Azula in the palace then, although it is strange she didn't made an appearance in both "Day of Black Sun" episodes.
It would be interesting if Ty Lee did visit her family though.

Axrendale: LoL I feel sorry for the family Azula kicked out of their house. XD And NYCC is in Feb? That's so far away. Also, I can't wait to read your fanfic--it looks promising. ^_^ Anime-Destiny1: I think it would be interesting if Ty Lee visited her family. And thank you for your input. I agree about DoBS, and Ty Lee not appearing--but also Mai didn't appear. I didn't expect that they were both not gonna be there.
