Hope everyone's enjoying their sunny Summer, because over here in London it feels like monsoon season, with all the rain . Well onto my completed anime…

My 141th Completed Anime Series is a Sci-fi, Mystery, Romance, Drama known as…

Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo

Gankutsuou ^_^

I haven't read the book or watched the movie, so I didn't know what to expect but I thoroughly enjoyed this compelling series . The beginning was fairly dull but as the story picked up and the theme of vengeance became apparent, I began to like it. The artistic look does seem a bit weird though .

I'll give it – 8.6 / 10 ^_^

MyAnimeList =============================== MyMangaList

My 142nd Completed Anime Series is a Supernatural, Mystery, Drama, Slice of Life called…

Haibane Renmei

Haibane ^_^

Now I was very interested in this slice of life because it had a very heart-warming story, with an angelic theme . However this is also a carefree series that most shounen lovers would be bored with.

I'll give it – 8.0 / 10 ^_^

MyAnimeList =============================== MyMangaList

My 143rd Completed Anime Series is a Action, Adventure, Drama called…

Kino's Journey

Kino no Tabi ^_^

I was expecting quite a lot from this high rated anime series and I was fairly disappointed by this mundane anime . Kino's Journey was basically just a series of random adventurous stories but unlike the similar anime (Mushi-shi), I just couldn't relate in anyway to the stories.

I'll give it – 7.8 / 10 ^_^

Now onto completing all the Da Capo series, whilst re-watching some of my faves .

Wow three series. I havent really watched a lot of anime lately. I did watch all of the Code Geass R2 episodes last night and I enjoyed it alot. Its a very good series. I also watched the first episode of the third season of Zero no tsukaima.

Yeah Code Geass R2 is really good but it rather disappointed me with all the random developments and plot-twist . On the other hand I'm please by how well the 1st eps of Zero no Tsukaima 3 was and I can't wait for more LouiseXSaito moments. ^_^

You know what surprised me in Kino no Tabi? Kino was a girl!!! I was like what??? In all I thought the series had it's ups and downs and was an OK series.

I watched the first season of Da Capo and I didn't like it very much...It was boring for the most part.

Yeah I was also so shocked after I discovered that Kino was a girl and that episode of her past was the best episode of the series .

I already finished the 1st season and it was one of the worst harems I've seen . But I'm still going to carry on until I see all the seasons. ^_^

How could you say the art was weird? I thought it was a masterpiece. The story was alright more of a futuristic aristocracy I thought that was really cool. But seriously the art is like a painting; if you didn't like it, your missing half the show.

Hooray for Haibane Renmei!
Did you understand all those themes and lessons? O.o
Posted Jul 9, 2008 2:52 pm PT
shikasxshadow - Didn't you know... The 1st episode was nicely subbed the day it came out, which was quite some time ago .

FateStayNight - I didn't say I didn't like the art, I just thought it was weird and took some getting use to .

lancelot200 - Yeah I understood most of the themes of Haibane Renmei but some just went right over my head. ^_^

I"m glad I wasn't the only one. I need to read Wikipedia for some. Did you also think that Kuu and that black haired kid were guys? They are girls. I wasn't believe the subs.

Haibane Renmei sounds pretty cool. I'll check it out...well, fairly soon. Got some shows just waiting to be watched that have been in the cue a while. But, it will be on my list. Cool.

lancelot200 - Yeah I thought Kuu-chan was a guy until Rakka cleared things up .

SsriTelQuessir - Sure, you may enjoy Haibane Renmei more than I did but what shows are you watching now? ^_^

3 series? woah that's a lot!

I'm not really sure if I'm all that interested in seeing any of those three animes for myself. Although Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo seems like a interesting anime to check out. Earlier you mention about enjoying Kure-nai. I need to check it out for myself someday, since some MAL members I know particular enjoy it. I also should check out Da Capo, since I do enjoy my share of harem animes.

I was planning on starting Gankutsuou next weekend, alongside Beck and Shakugan no Shana, but I'll see how that goes. And Da Capo isn't that bad.

By the way, have you seen this list, with the top 100 ranked users on the site? (I know it's not complete yet, but it seems pretty accurate so far).
Posted Jul 13, 2008 11:54 am PT
HimekosAhoge - I know but my next blog may have more

Anime-Destiny1 - Yeah Kure-nai is very entertaining, especially the relationships between the main characters .

logi - Seriously, I know you the Editor for it but Da Capo is the 2nd worst harem I have seen so far . That girl Aisia p*sses me off so much that I'm constantly swearing whenever I she talks about magic . BTW... That list is amazing and I'm 1 rank below you. ^_^

If Da Capo is the 2nd worst, what's the worst harem anime you've seen?
And yeah, you're currently only one rank below me. But I'm sure things will change soon.

Well actually I can't even remember that's how bad it is. And I should actually above you but I was forced down a level when I was suspended. ^_^

i agree with you M2K i didnt like the art i never got use to it,but one thing i have to disagree with you is Kino is a traveler of course its random adventures the earth is a big place.

Well i think that gankutsuou's artistic style was a win , for some reson it just seemed right for anime based off a book and a movie

And i agree with kino's journey, at first i was like "damn this must be good" but the hype didn't deliver... now that i think about it the tower ova really pissed me off ._____.
